• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Was Your First Motorcycle?

bike

First motorcycle was a ALLSTATE step through, 3hp, friction clutch scooter. I was 12 years old. There has been a long list of bikes since, but still have fond memories of that little Allstate.:D

rollin'....rollin' on a Rebel...rollin' on a Rebel, ridin' 'til the break of day.....or until I get tired of using the '
:D

In 1999 as a graduation gift dad bought me a 95 Honda Rebel. He said is was a good starter bike. I still decided it was prudent to remove the pink windshield.

My next bike was USMC issued in the the form of a Kawasaki KLR 650. I thought it would be the death of me. Motorcycles = fun. Motorcycles + flying bullets = not so much.

2009 Can Am Spyder SM5 gift from my wife.

'87 Kawasaki Ninja 250R .... red lined at 14.5K. Had it up to 117mph with a little more room left. But I chickened out. LOL

My first was a 1946 Knucklehead HD in August of 1954. Have ridden ever since. 50 years in Florida and have been on trikes by choice since 1996. Have had as many as three at a time. Now I am in Maryland but I did get a ride in yesterday.:2thumbs:

 Why you make me feel like a kid again. Got me beat by four years and at least 45 cubic inches. :roflblack:

1976 Kawasaki KZ650.....Vance and Hines header of course....blue and chrome....wish I still had that bike. I bought it new, sold it 2 years later when I started working a real job

As a kid I had a 3&1/2 hp Sears mini bike, then the much faster Rupp Hustler 7hp then a Honda 250cc.
First Road bike was a Kawi 1000 LTD, used that to go cross country right after getting out of college. Wish I had kept the LTD - very fast and comfy....
Since then I've had 9 other bikes. Still have my Sabre 1100 and a Motoguzzi ElDorado 900.
WOW! now thats a memory...the Rupp Hustler....my dad bought one for the family to use(4 boys)....we had it for about 4 years or more....I used to drive it in the snow up north when the roads were closed....great fun:2thumbs:

My first bike was a brand new RED S90 Honda, I used to carry it on a carrier that fit on the trailer hitch of my new Red 64 Malibu SS. A lot of good memories!

Suzuki

My first bike I bought in 1983. It was a new 1981 Suzuki GN400, 1 cylinder. put 27,XXX on it in 3 years. It was a great first bike. Cost? $1100 with the mag alloy wheels. I rode the sh:cus: out of it.

Not sure of the year (late sixties)I took my brothers 180 Yamaha street bike out for a spin in the hills of california. I was 12 or 13. I was a bad boy that day.

First time I ever rode was on a friends Sears Minibike around 1975. I had a 'borrowed' Honda 70 Trail bike for 1 summer and then saved up enough and bought my first motorcycle - a Late 70's Honda CR-125.

I rode plenty of other dirt bikes after that - but the CR-125 always held a special place in my heart.
