• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what was this guy thinking?

Wow. Always have to be alert for the idiots out there.

What was this guy thinking?

Probably "Oh, s***"

But assuming the lights were green for the two-wheeler, he''s got some good evidence to have the SUV driver charged with failing to yield or more. And it should make his insurance claim a lot easier.

i used to drive a tow truck years ago and when responding to a accident the shoes are the first thing to come off when people get hit, now i saw this on the news today and it is one of my biggest fears that people think they can make the turns and do it b4 you get there

According to statistics, more than half of two vehicle motorcycle accidents are caused by drivers making a left turn in front of the motorcyclist.

This is one of the biggest advantage to the Spyder (IMHO)
They are five feet-wide up front, and create a great "on the pavement" presence.
Folks in cages; only react and respond to situations that they think will hurt them...
We are large-enough to make them look twice! :2thumbs:

Saw the report on the news tonight. The Bike had the green light. SUV failed to yield. The biker was interviewed. Seemed to be OK. His wife and daughter were following him in the car immediately behind him.

Yikes..!!

is it because it's motocycle awareness month that we are getting hammered..?? Glad he walked away from this one but interview him tomorrow when the adrenalin wears off. Been in a few and you have no idea why parts of you hurt....

Happened to me on the highway. Luckily, I missed him. Still messing around with a knee injury 9 months later. Hoping for answers on Monday for a surgical consult. For those that don't have med pay on their insurance I would recommend it. I hadn't ever had to deal with something like this before. Wow is it an education!

Exactly what happened in Westport, CT yesterday. A female driver turned left in front of a 68 year old motorcyclist who did have the right of way. The police officer who directed me to turn onto another road & turn around said it was very bad, that the rider suffered multiple serious injuries. Even when you are right, you could be dead right.
