• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ahh....the MC is awesome! However, if you're on a low budget, you might want to start with the throttlemeister...it's a mechanical cruise and I love it..gives your hands a break while on the highway...holds the throttle...also helps to reduce the handlebar vibration.

I'd love to get the MC cruise, but it's pricey. The throttlemeister does well enough for us. I didn't even use a cruise control device on our cross-country trip even though I had one at my disposal to use. Never felt the need. I have a throttle rocker that makes it pretty comfy.

Any using the Kaoko that ESI is selling? Wonder how it compares to the other throttle lockers. :dontknow:
Dick
I have Throttlemeisters, but I feel all tension devices of this type are probably comparable, Throttlemeister, Kaoko, and Manic Salamander. The action and bar weight is different on each make and model. That gives you a bit of latitude to fit your preferences.

Everyone seems to be very satisfied with thier Audivox CCS-100 and their McCruise. McCruise is listed for $839, and the Audiovox $299. Why such the discrepancie in prices ?
Also, the only place I can find Audivox for sale is e-bay.

I got mine from Amazon but I notice that they are currently out of stock.
The one on ebay lists at $102 which is a good price.

I was hoping BRP would offer a version of the RT cruise control for the GS/RS. It would seem like a simple adaption. BRP's prices are very high, but then so is the McCruise at 920 AUD.

Totally different setup....the RT has fly by wire throttle, RS/GS still uses cables.

McCruise is specifically for motorcycles, and is frequently available with a wiring harness for specific models, with quite detailed instructions. Audiovox is a generic unit, missing a few of the features of the McCruise, and not quite as robust. JMHO. Have installed and used both.
