Losing a bit of faith in Can Am - enjoy the riding, but not the endless waiting while they find parts and fix all the niggling issues!

Last fall one of the speed sensors failed on my 2021 RT, and I ended up missing the entire Fall riding season while the dealer tried to get the replacement sensor. Then recently, I had the problem of not being able to unlock &/or open one of the side cases, and the plastic latch snapped off when I tried, so I needed the dealer to take care of that problem. Now my cruise control suddenly stopped working, and I am bringing it to the dealer next Tuesday (but I can certainly ride the RT without cruise control for now). This flurry of issues is shaking my good feeling about the Spyder, although I thoroughly enjoy riding this vehicle. I'm long out of warranty, and wonder what fixing the cruise control might end up costing me, as well as whether or not I would be facing a long wait for some needed part??

Try an online parts house and see if they are any better. I have used Can Am Parts King with good success.

Does not appear to be a Spyder problem so much, it seems to be a supply line and dealership problem.

Can Am does not have the market cornered on that.

I agree. But that doesn't help the reputation of the Spyder line itself. I've long held that Can Am's dealership issues will ultimately be the demise of the Can Am Spyder line of products. Bottom line, if you want to sell Spyders, you've gotta keep them on the road. Reputation demands that.
