• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What' up with BRP?

Okay,

Have a problem with my new 25 inch Ultra Touring Windshield dropping two notches every time the rear tire hits a bump. My dealer replaced the guides on my new STS Se 5. Did not work. They don't know what to do. I asked for some suggestions on here. Just got some feedback wishing me luck dealing with BRP. Huh?

Well, I get it now. Today will be the fifth day we are calling BRP... and getting nothing but busy signals or a weird noise. What up with BRP?

It's an ST; right? :dontknow:

Just my uneducated RT-owner's guess; the extra sail area of the larger screen is allowing the wind to exert JUST enough force to unseat it...
I don't know how you can fix that sort of thing... :gaah:

WAG

but, it sounds like an electrical issue. Could be the plug at the drive motor, or in the control switch, or even the drive motor itself. If it is electical, it may be hard to duplicate. Yet, they could get lucky.

The ST bikes adjust manually; no electricals are involved...
BRP may be busy swapping the factory over for 2015 production...

As silly as it sounds, are you sure you are not dialing a fax number ?
I have had a GS and a RT, so I can not help on this one.

Really! Thanks for that. Do have one question tho. About the manual adjustment thingy. Is it a crank?

No crank. Slides up and with multiple detents for adjustment positions.

Mine will sometimes drop one detent position and that is with the standard windshield.

Yup!
You sort of grab the screen near the top on both sides...

... and flavor it to taste! :D

(I got the hint that it was an ST, by the mention of it dropping "two notches". RTs are notchless bikes! :roflblack:)

Air pressure is supposed to hold the thing in the detent. You must go faster over those bumps. Damn the shocks, full speed ahead!

As I see it..!!

looks like the system can not support the larger windshield very well in the higher positions. Can't see that there is any adjustments but if you get a hold of brp maybe they do have some simple solution. Must be more than one number...

Be persistant and keep calling them and don't let up until you get it fix. Remember cool head get real and cool answers. Good luck:yes::yes:
