What Trailer hitch and wiring harness are you using for your RS Spyder?

Hello folks.
I’m looking to buy a Freedom Trailer for an RS, and I was wondering which hitch people been using?
Price ranges from $75 -$588 for BRP's model for an ST, which I would think will fit an RS. BRP's version comes with a harness, but I don’t know if it’s worth buying a 10 year old ‘new’ hitch that may have rusted, or if I should get an actual 'new' but off brand hitch from Amazon for $175.
Thank you in advance.

I bought an off brand hitch for the wife's F3L. Looks exactly like the one I bought from Show Chrome for my RTL, at half price too. Got the wiring harness off eBay, which looks just like the one from a couple of places from here when they had sponsors on the front page. Just my opinion.

Check to see if your rear axle is hollow to accept the hitch retaining bolt. I believe the same hitch fits some years of ST's & RS's. On ST's, the rear fender required dealer modifications so the license plate could be seen once the hitch was installed.

Was it 4 pins for harness? Do you remember?
If you can post or dm the source for harness and hitch, that would be great.

Yes, the wiring harness was a plug and play. Plugs into the wiring under the seat. Has a flat 4 pin at the end for the trailer to plug into.

Was it BRP or generic cable that you used?
Oh, you already mentioned it was from eBay and I think I saw one, but I will have to look under the seat and see what the socket looks like.
Thank you thank you.

I don't think it was a BRP harness. Didn't see anything on it that said BRP. On eBay, look at the harnesses. Look at the Lamonster cable and you should probably see a picture of a wiring harness that looks identical to his. I'm not sure if your Spyder would take the same kind of harness tho. Might have to go to canamspyderaccessories.com and see if he has a harness that will fit your Spyder and then use his numbers on eBay to bring up the harness. That's about all I can come up with...
