• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What to buy

I am wanting to purchase a Can Am Spyder and my primary requirements are (1) fits within my budget < $20k (2) year 2015 or newer (new or used), and (3) a model that has the rider sitting more in an upright cruiser position than leaning forward.

I was at a dealer last week and was looking at a new 2015 ST limited SE5. Does anyone have an opinion on this model or others that fall within my requirements? I could afford more but don't think I will ride it enough to justify another $10k.

We have a 14 ST Limited and love it. I say, go for it if it's comfortable for you and everything else fits the bill for you. The RT was just too much machine for us for what we do, and the RS was just too uncomfortable.

You might try for an exceptional deal on the ST. The talk is pretty strong that they may be going away--as in discontinued.

I love my F3s and think you should be able to find a great deal on a left over.. They are out there for sure!

Try for a 2015 F3; you can get one for under 20k, and in my experience (owning an RS, an RT, and an F3T, and spending a week with an ST demo), has the most upright seating position. It is short on storage space, but if you don't mind that, it's a great machine.

Priced @ $5,750 off MSRP

They are down to $19,399 advertised price on Craigslist and will not budge. When I was in the showroom the price was listed at $22,899 ... tricky and glad I checked CL also. The MSRP is $25,149.

At least sit on an F3 before you decide, I came off a Yamaha Raider and sat on all models and F3 was the closest to a cruiser in my opinion, and I've seen leftovers going for $17000.

F3 appt on Friday

I have an appointment with the F3 on Friday. All of the ones in the show room were setup for someone 6 ft tall which doesn't work at all for me. I am going back to the dealer on Friday and they will adjust it to fit me.

Just what Spyder to buy ????

Hi Dave here, I think if you supply us with more information we will be able to
give you a much better answer than with the info you have on your post.
1- what is your age
2- Do you plan on having a passenger
3- Are you going to use it for touring
4- What is your physical condition
5- Are you an active person
6- Have you been riding motorcycles or are you new to riding?
The only thing I am able to help here with is if you want to have a
sitting position that is upright go for the CanAm RT or the CanAM ST
you should be able to find both at the price level you are looking for.
Ride Safe

I would try the F3 and a ST because there are some Great Deals on leftover ST's for Like $15,000 with Full warranty?
The ST may be Just right for you IF you don't care for the F3- Just a thought?

Agree the big difference is not going to be the price at sale but the gpm. The ST HAVING 998cc compared to the new 1330 F3. A ST Limited will have lots to offer suggest you teat ride both & try to fig from there.

I wasn't there but I still care! POW /MIA VETS
