• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Should I Have Done?

I saw this Lady adding oil to her car. Should I have checked to make sure that she had the proper viscosity, and wasn't mixing synthetic oil to a blended mix? :dontknow:

I been teaching my youngest daughter about her car every since she been driving (19 now). I happened to ask her last week is she still checking the fluids (oil, transmission fluid, power steering, etc.). She said yes, but then asked where will she add the oil if it shows low on the stick:yikes:? I have showed her loads of things about her car, but some how that one I missed:banghead:. She probably would have tried to add the oil in the dip stick tube. Even at your best of trying to teach them to be independant, we sometimes miss the mark.

Had you stopped to advise her :lecturef_smilie:, Bob, a crowd would have gathered and a fight :banghead: would have occurred over whether to use Castrol :dontknow: or Amsoil :dontknow: . . . insults and punches to follow! :gaah::roflblack:

I would have had to suggest Canola Oil... :D
Since that was MINI; had she purchased the service contract for it, the dealer would have provided oil changes for her at the proper service intervals for no additional charge...

If a situation really got to that point, it is beyond offering assistance. The deed has been done. :roflblack::roflblack:

What..!!

I would like to know how she knew it needed oil or even why..:roflblack::roflblack: the application is fine..there is a cap that says oil why not spread it around..:roflblack:

biting my tongue on this one, because if i didn't i would say something like TYPICAL WOMAN DRIVER. thank god i didn't say it

Hi John!
I was pretty sure that you would have mentioned instructing her about this process...

A rare moment to observe a special creature in their natural behavior

She looks like my daughter, the genetic product of two blondes.
