I have a Slime pump that come in a nice compact case. It has a power pigtail that plugs directly into my battery charger pigtail. It stays in the bike but has never been needed. At home I have a cordless Ryobi 18V compressor. The pump and battery are about the size of a good size cordless electric drill. It is VERY handy and will easily take care of my car, trailer, golf cart, and bike tires. The pump itself is very inexpensive. The batteries are not. But, I use it a lot at home and find it well worthwhile..... Jim
I tried that routine with motorcycle......I used five to only fill tire halfway.......not good when trying to find source of leak.....sorry, I wouldn’t recommend this......carry a compressor, they don’t weigh much.

I have the one from Aerostich. Works well. I also have the more automatic one from Lamonster.
I love this one. It saved our butts a couple of months ago when the rear tire lost all its air from the tire valve backing out on its own. Pumped it up to 22 lbs in a few minutes! Check it out:

Mine is similar to this but with much more powerful battery.
