• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What portable air compressor do you use?

The Stop and Go mini compressor is on amazon for $37.93. I've had this for 2 years. I've never had a flat but I've tested this to see if it would over heat and fail which is the most likely thing to happen to these small comps and it has easily run long enuf to fill the rear tire up to about 25 lbs. It doesn't seem to have the guts to go much over 25 psi. It has a guage which is pretty accurate. This and a couple of string type plugs with the string installing tools is all I carry. It uses a cigarette plug or can go right to battery with alligator clips.

The air hawk is quite handy too with rechargeable battery or the cigarette plug adapter, Programmable pressure stop.

I have a Slime pump that come in a nice compact case. It has a power pigtail that plugs directly into my battery charger pigtail. It stays in the bike but has never been needed. At home I have a cordless Ryobi 18V compressor. The pump and battery are about the size of a good size cordless electric drill. It is VERY handy and will easily take care of my car, trailer, golf cart, and bike tires. The pump itself is very inexpensive. The batteries are not. But, I use it a lot at home and find it well worthwhile..... Jim

Me too. Great Minds think alike.

I have a cheapo (Walmart, I think) squarish blue 12V that I cut the cigarette lighter plug off of and installed an SAE to mate up to my battery tender connection. I've used it five times - never for myself - on both the GL1800 and now the Spyder. It rests well in the bottom of the frunk along with the sack of tools that transferred from the 'wing. Have to pick up refill plugs every now-and-then to refill my stock.

I tried that routine with motorcycle......I used five to only fill tire halfway.......not good when trying to find source of leak.....sorry, I wouldn’t recommend this......carry a compressor, they don’t weigh much.

Sorry you had trouble with this method as you must’ve had some kind of a leak. I’ve never used more than three to fill a Harley tire. I even have the same system in my four wheelers.

Mine is similar to this but with much more powerful battery.

Portable Milwaukee Inflator

I purchased the portable Milwaukee compressor which I use around the farm on small stuff
also, when I take out the RV or the Spyder

I like it's programmable to whatever pressure so you can set it and walk away as long as it's not more than 10 minutes.
It pumps up 120 pounds.

I got the aftermarket batteries and they have held up as good as the OEM Milwaukee's 2 for $29.99
I already had a charger for the 12 V.

Check out inflater.com. Small and holds a charge forever. Set your lbs and it shuts off at that point. Comes with USB and 12v charger and all the adapters. I use it before my rides to check pressure and add it needed. If need be, you can charge it from your F3.

I have the one from Aerostich. Works well. I also have the more automatic one from Lamonster.

A few years ago I bought the small digital compressor from Lamonster. I really liked it. It was handy, compact, and worked well.... until it quit working. I contacted Lamonster and they very kindly replaced it from one they had in stock. But also told me they quit carrying that particular pump due to high failure rate. It didn't meet their quality standards. The second pump also failed after a short period of time. Not Lamonster's fault. I researched the internet and found the exact same pump being marketed under various brand names. It's good if you have one that works but I wouldn't depend on their durability..... Jim
