• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What parameters are changed when riding 2 up?

If you mean what changes occur when the Pillion Sensor is triggered, then without going back to the documentation, I'm pretty sure the changes include adjusting the VSS response settings, so that the Nanny steps in a little earlier when triggered by things like excessive cornering forces &/or excessive body roll; and the Brake Distribution, so that any use of the brakes brings the rear brake in a tad earlier & a little harder....

I also believe (but am not sure??) that there's some change in the way the ECU responds to throttle input, either reducing the feed in a tad or limiting any WOT duration a bit.... maybe both?!? :dontknow:

I must admit I never notice the changes, they must be subtle and well integrated. All in all I think BRP did a good job on the ride dynamics, for the RT LTD anyway. I think they did well on roll control versus comfort, but some like a firmer front end with a stiffer anti roll bar it seems. I had no idea they had added this complexity of adjusting those ride dynamics with a passenger. Learn something new everyday.

Hadn't thought about changes to the bike based on 1 or 2 riders. There definitely is added input from the rear seat when I am riding 2 up. Sometimes a well phrased input or even occasionally a "tap" on the helmet. :roflblack::lecturef_smilie:

:agree: The most common is, "we gotta stop I have to pee."

My 22 RTL does respond differently riding 2up. Some of the things I’ve noticed are the throttle seem lazy and braking takes more effort compared to riding 1up. Granted an additional 130lbs will make a difference but the nanny seems to be making a deeper cut. Next time my wife rides I’ll see if she’ll ride in the frunk and test again. :2thumbs:

I've learned to ask after about an hour and thereafter for every gas station or rest area we pass. After two hours I don't even bother to ask, otherwise I can guarantee that as soon as we get out in absolutely the middle of nowhere, I had better have stopped earlier. Gas mileage is not the contributing factor as to when I fill up.
