• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what other sizes for rear tire?

Andy Cserny

I am looking for future replacement for the rear tie on my new 2014 RT and so far have found the Kumho in 225/55/15. Are there any other sizes that will fit the rear rim and the wheel well, ie dont rub or mess with the stability and traction control? How about the 225/60/15?
Thanks
Andy

Little checking..!!

loads of tire info...try searching mr orange..he put together a chart...

My Michelin HydroEdge is 215/60R15. No nanny issues and my speedometer is never more than 1 MPH off from my Garmin Zumo 550 GPS & often shows the same speed.

sounds great where can I find one?
thanks for the response

Your not! They are discontinued and out of stock pretty much everywhere. Even vendors that say in stock on the web site, they contact you back after paying telling you they don't have it.

Alas I went with another tire since you cant get the hydroedge anymore!

I got the tire and it looks really good. I plan to mount it in the coming few weeks and I will let folks know.

Finless is right, the tire is discontinued. Michelin replaced it with the Defender, which is what I run on the fronts. You should be able to find that one pretty much everywhere that sells Michelin. www.tirerack.com has it for $113.00 + shipping.

Check with your dealer before you buy to make sure they will mount it. I have heard of some who will not mount car tires on the Spyder, citing liability risks. My dealer was fine with mounting it. I run the BRP recommended tire pressures in my Michelins & seems to have good service and wear at those pressures.

FYI I would not use the Defender for the rear. They have a one sided tread pattern that I do not think is good for the Spyder for the rear tire.

Here is the off side tread pattern for the defender:

Do you have the new ones properly rated for the RT? The last batch was only rated for the weight of the RS. How about the 15" fronts?
