• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What kind of coolant?

Hi guys,

I noticed my spyder running hotter than usual in the last few days, so I checked the coolant level and it is definitely low.

Do you buy the BRP stuff or something else? From the owner's manual it is 50% distilled water and 50% antifreeze, so I guess I could mix my own, but wanted to hear from others.

Thanks a bunch.

Just buy the green automotive stuff... which is silicone / silicate free... for aluminum engines.

I buy the pre-mixed but that's up to you.

.

Ya since the last update mine is running at least 1 bar hotter on an already hot engine. Added water wetter still no difference. Added juice box to the ESI green filter with Hindle still runs Hot. Ordered the air dam ,hopes that cools things down a tad.

I would buy it pre-mixed as well.

I installed the Missing Air Dam kit, and went for a ryde today. It was 97F outside and the Spyder only reached 5 bars while stopped at a traffic light. Rest of the time it never went over 4 bars, and that was with me keeping it under 65. For the $25.50 it certainly may help, and definitely can't hurt anything.
