I've only had my 2016 Spyder RTS for 2 weeks and just did our first long ride to Laughlin River Run this week. Still doing a little bit of adjustment from 2 wheels but I love the Spyder. We hit lots of weather, wind, rain, etc. I got push around a little in the high winds but not bad. My husband likes to travel at 75 to 80 mph. I found that around 75 I had some shake going on. I have the baja ron sway bar but have not done the laser alignment yet (have to locate somewhere to do it). So what highway speeds do you travel at comfortably?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like 70 when the traffic will allow. On my 2012 RT that corresponds to 5000 in 5th. I have ridden for miles at 80 on some of the freeways in UT and was just fine.

I like to be the 2nd fastest vehicle on the highway. That way if he is going just a bit faster than me, the Leo's will get him and not me. I like about 77mph. No vibrations and moving at a reasonable pace.

I cruise between 70 and 75 mph on the interstate. Not for the bike, it does fine, but for me. At that speed I can "goose" it a bit when I need to, control a relative quick stop and adjust to changing road conditions comfortably.

My sweet spot is usually two to three miles above the posted limit.
Here, I drive 60 in the 55's, 68 in the 65's, and 73 in the 70's. I get no shaking of any kind, the gas mileage is "normal" at 31 or so for the 998 and 39-41 for the 1330. When you get past 70, the mileage will go down a bit--but--for most, that is not an issue. :thumbup:

opcorn: Well first off I have to get out of state to enjoy any speed , not just the limits but the quality of roads:shocked::shocked:nojoke But at spyderfest I did enjoy the 60-80 range where I could:clap: However was short lived as I'm back home now :roflblack: i still have my routs but more for views & destinations than the speed I get there:2thumbs: Im a happy laid back no rush redneck anyway:thumbup:

With my 2014 I get my best miles per gallon around 55 but other than that I drive the speed limit + 5%, so 60 will be 63 on the GPS or 64 on the speedo. I do not believe I have a favored sweet spot, I have been over 100 mph and no issues.

On the Eway I usually set the cruise at about 83 and the GPS states about 80, Ride is smooth and comfortable. I generally set about 10 over regardless.
