I ordered some Elka shocks from Kewlmetal today. I told them that they were getting some bad press on this site and for them not to f%#k me over. I ordered the shocks to be delivered 2nd Day Air. I'll keep y'all posted as to how they do.

I got my Elka Shocks in and installed them 2 nights ago. Kewlmetal was fine with my order. I did email them once to keep them on their toes.
I find no fault with Kewlmetal.:yes:

Well i just bit the bullet and decided to order an intake, the toss up was between the evoluzione and kewl metal... i decided to go with the kewl metal... called them up Wednesday 11am their time and after 3 phones call i got through. Talked to laura, very nice lady. anyhow i asked her if they had the air filters in stock because my bike is ripped apart and i didn't want to put the stock airbox back in and i needed this asap. She checked they had them in stock and i would have one shipped Thursday. I emailed on Friday, no email back half way through the day so i decided to call. After a few tries i got through i asked her if she could email me the tracking number she said that wasn't a problem and then she said as soon as i ship it out ill let you know. This is where i got frustrated due to the fact i specifically made sure they had them in stock because if not i would have went with the evoluzione and had it by Tuesday. So she said long story short one of their shipments of filters came in a day late and my air filter was in a box ready to be shipped today ( which was Friday ). I asked her to send me a tracking num to my email when it went out and she assured me i would have the tracking info.... still waiting. So far im not to pleased i fully understand they cant do anything about their shipments... but if you had everything in stock then it would have shipped Thursday and thats why i spent over half my day trying to get through via phone so i had a direct answer on Wednesday when i ordered..... i should have known better and just got the evoluzione, im hoping it went out Friday if not looks like im canceling my order and wont order anything again.... its one thing to not have something in stock ( which i understand its hard to keep parts on hand etc ) but its another to jack me around and tell me stuff is in stock when indeed thats not the case. :gaah:

I have the kewlmetal highway brackets as well and with my entire 220 weight i can't get these things to budge at all. I've got 8k miles on them and haven't had to tighten them or had them move. Now the Kury pegs i have had to tighten a few times until i decided to put a little blue loctite to keep them from falling off.

Matt i do have a question for you though. I currently have th 5" bars with the BRP 1" riser block. Is it possible to change to the 7" bars withough having to remove the 1" riser or change out any of the cables? This is an SE5.

Yes you can change the bars to the 7 inch. Lot's of folks have the 7 inch bars AND the 1" BRP riser and have not had to change cables.

Sorry this happened to you. I will look into your order on Monday. Personally I think my employees are awesome, Laura is relatively new at Kewlmetal and she told you what she thought to be accurate at the time, they did have it all in stock except the little foam UNI fiilters, so when she went to actually package the kits, she realized this. I know that does not help the fact that you thought you would have a part while you had your Spyder torn down.

Let me track this on Monday and I will let you know.

I saw a PILE of highway brackets in the warehouse, all powder coated and everything.....I am not BSing you when I tell you the supplier for these promised us 3 day turn around and he took over 3 weeks. He claimed he has one laser machine down and is back logged. Sorry for the wait, but we are getting caught up now. I will trac your order on Monday as well.

Don't laugh when you see the mods I've made to them...still not sure if they'll stick though...

Thanks man sorry didnt mean to sound like a :cus: by any means i was just uber frustrated as my bike has been apart for 2 weeks, not to mention in pa we have had rain for almost 3 weeks except for 3 days maybe all in which were last week and my bike was apart. Like i said Laura was super friendly and i totally understand it wasnt your guys fault ( wasnt an :cus: on the phone or anything ), i just needed this thing asap. No worries as i got the stock airbox back in ( bit the bullet today and did it ). My family owns 4 companies and i know all about parts having to come in from suppliers and what not ( so i know sometimes you prob get jacked around too). cant wait to get the product and see this bad boy in action. The fact that you acutally take time to address issues on here and post is super cool in my book. Never did i think you would be answering through here so deff :2thumbs: up for you. i appreciate you checking on that....

Your intake shipped last Wednesday. You should have received a tracking number by email today. The reason you did not receive an automated tracking number is because you placed the order by phone and not on the website. I tracked your shipment and you should get it on the 27th.

Kewl Metal Highway brackets huge delay

I placed an order March 6th, and I'm still waiting. They are impossible to reach via phone. I have also emailed as well. Not happy at all.:cus::gaah:

Huge delay with KewlMetal in AZ. They told us on several occasions the parts would be fed exed the next day. Its now two weeks. Whats funny is the girl there that answers the phone says this every time we call.Think they say this to get us off the phone. This has delayed the completion of our RTS SE5 for our wedding anniversary. They should tell the truth..now this reflects on them. Apparently they cannot control their Chromer down the street. So just tell the truth. very disappionted. If I ran my busines this way, I would have to close my doors. With me they are losing their credibilty

We have been told by a Laura at our office several ties the brackets and parts ordrede are going out the next day...its now two weeks..Need your help. Order was for Southwest Suzuki in Lytle Texas. I am the owner and they are trying to put toegther oru anniversary present and cannot ebcuas eof this hueg delay. I refrred them to you to roder my parts since they were building my RTS Spyder. KEWLMETAL= top notch quality... if it was not for them my bike would not look nearly as good as it looks. But is not only appearance, is top notch quality on everything they do.

Yes, sometimes it could take longer than expected but i will tell you that is worth the wait...

It looks like they are out if business. There is a Facebook page that has a phone number listed but I would bet it is not in service. Read sone of the reviews, they aren’t good. Maybe you can find a used rack.
