There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What is this plug for?

I found this when I was tracing wires.
2014 RT Base model. It's by the front right side next to the plugs for the fog lights.
Thanks...

I have an 11 RTS. And that looks like the plug for the frunk electric release.

Here's the thing....

Don't know but if everything is working don't worry too much. They make one harness for that model and have connections that may not be used on yours. You can add them and just plug it in what ever it goes to....:dontknow:

Plug for frunk switch.

This is the correct answer. To the original poster, when looking at the Spyder from the front, you should see a micro switch on the left side of the frunk latch. That's the wire which plugs into the back of that switch.

Thanks everyone. I will go with frunk switch. Must be a leftover from previous years.

It's the connector for a dual purpose microswitch. With the frunk lid closed it closed the ground side of the electric frunk release so the panel switch would open the frunk. It was standard on the RTS and RTL through 2013. 2014 on it's an option for all models. With the frunk lid open it closes the circuit for the frunk light which is standard on the RTS and RTL. It's an option for the base RT.

Dcoes anyone have the part # for the Switch and Dash Button?

I've got the 15 base RT and its been a couple years since we traded the 11RT away, but still miss the utility of having the "pop a Frunk" option. Now if I could get a remote FOB operated version!!

Lamont??

Electric actuator was one of the first farkles I put on the 2013 base RT I had. Short time later learned all you have to do is press the key down and turn it even when the engine is running to open the frunk. Decided then and there the actuator had been a waste of money! Can't say as I miss it at all on my 14 RTS.
