What is the Coolest thing you like about your Spyder?

Well, for one, I guess it's the attention it gets from curious people. Also, just to be part of the Spyder banner run in Vermont was real cool for me. It's something that I've never done before. It was great to meet other Spyder riders. New friendships were surely made!

My favorite thing about the Spyder is that it makes more rides and stops easier and more enjoyable. I take it lots more places for longer rides and if I see something interesting - I stop and enjoy that little piece of the world - much more than being on my motorcycle.

Just going out with hubby and exploring. No destination, no time table. Just riding. He doesn't have to worry about me as much on the spyder as opposed to my motorcycle. It's just a relaxing time all around.

Being able to take the rides to nowhere with my best friend knowing she's now enjoying the ride as much as I am.

Oh, one more thing, taking a break and recapping the last part of the ride with an active participant rather than a passive observer and seeing the sparkle in her eyes as she describes how she took the last few turns, PRICELESS hyea:

Okay -I have become a speed junkie! But I can't help it- 'Mordrid' :spyder:wants to go fast! Only trouble is, I only live 3 miles from work, so the commute just makes me want to keep on riding!

Like today when I go into downtown Boston (Rt93 south over the Zakim bridge and into the Big Dig $14mil tunnel) and not having to worry.
Heck even after I left the parking garage, I purposely tooled around a few streets in the financial district just to show off. hyea:

I went to my second customer, parked in a garage in Cambridge I never been to before... I got yelled at when I went to pay at exit, never to come back again; motocycles not allowed, what BS that was... Of all the garages I park in, they ALL allow me, as long as I pay full car price.

Heck even after I left the parking garage, I purposely tooled around a few streets in the financial district just to show off. hyea:

I went to my second customer, parked in a garage in Cambridge I never been to before... I got yelled at when I went to pay at exit, never to come back again; motocycles not allowed, what BS that was... Of all the garages I park in, they ALL allow me, as long as I pay full car price.

I think that restriction might be for two reasons. Some of those gates are unmanned and require a certain amount of mass in a vehicle to trigger it. Some bikes won't. My Spyder did at the last one I went into.

The other reason: Imagine what strait pipes sound like in an enclosed garage.

I started riding many (>25) years ago and had to give up due to a balance issue that made me keep falling down in corners. I looked at traditional trikes and didn't like them at all. I saw a Spyder in May 2008 and knew it was right. I ordered mine shortly afterward, received it in late July 2008 and have loved every minute of riding it!

So...the "one" thing I like best...being able to ride again!!!!!!!!

Sopher, that's 14 BILLION dollars and tax dollars from all over the country paid for that mess of a job because MA screwed it up so much...bottom line: don't hire contractors who can't do the work...
