• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What footwear do you use?

Crocs. Gotta love the feeling of wind between my toes. :-) :-)

Actually, Timberland hikers for long trips and Nike's for around town.

Do the Crocs get hot? I've been wearing tennis shoes, and I thought my feet would melt last Thursday. I do not like southern Texas summers.;)

Well, I purchased a pair of ICON Tarmac Vented boots. They are low rise laceless boots that go slightly above the ankles. Very comfortable. Very good ankle support. These are not Herman Munster boots. Maybe, more like Little Eddie Munster. Just kidding. Not bad looking really. Slip right on and strap down with two velcro straps. I would compare them to hiking boots. So now if they ever have to bury me, at least my feet will look good.

Crocs rock

As I was reading all the posts about safety first (trust me if it was one of my kids or grandkids they would get the GOOD BOOT lecture)...but just returned from a nice ryde in my CROCS!!! :yikes: but nice and cool...nope don't heat up..

ATGATT for me even if it's just around the corner. The close range runs are when stuff happens, so they say. Besides, it's a promise I made to my Wife when I started this whole adventure and it is one I shall keep. Risk management is something I take pretty seriously.

For boots, I just burned through some Cortech Solutions and am currently wearning Axo Primato II and Built Track Stars, depending on what mood I'm in. Besides, it's nice to have one pair airing while the other pair you are "wairing"! :D

exactly the deal i made with my kids.....man, it does get hot though :lecturef_smilie:

On cooler days, WP Solutions boots. Maybe not as comfy as top of the line but a great waterproof boot. On hot days, Merrill waterproof boots. Ankle high, rather comfy and with a pair of wicking socks, great.
