There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So with all the tire discussions that go on, I have a question, is this the tire that most are putting on the front end of the RT'S
Federal Formoza AZ01 165/55R15 ? But is in short supply ?

The stock size I believe is

165 55R15 55H

What does the 55H mean?

Thanks for all that reply with information

You have the info you need from other posts, but I figured I would help avoid any hesitancy or confusion on buying by letting you know the Federals will have a 75V rating. No need to panic, they are just higher load carrying and higher speed rating. Most of the time this translates into a better handling tire through the use of higher grade components in the rubber compound used to handle higher speeds etc. With some "off brands" this may not be true but it is for the Federals for sure. I have these tires on my F3-S and they have absolutely transformed it! And I do tend to "ride it like I stole it"!

I have a 2012 RTL which has 14" rims on the front. I am looking for new tires and see that a lot of people are putting on Federal Formoza AOZ1 tires in 165/55R15 size. As far as I have have been able to determine Federal doesn't make this tire in 14" size. If this is the case what other Federal tire (or other brand) works well on 2012 with 14" rims?

Heard about a ryder blowing a Kendra from hitting a chughole. One thing about a car, esp. on a Spyder, with the extra plies that would be less apt to happen. If nothing else, car tires (to me) give me more protection from the crap on/in the road.
We have had Federals on the RT for almost 10k and are barely worn. Have another pair I am putting on the Daytona within the next week or so.

Thanks guys for replies. I have been looking online for tires and I think I have narrowed down to 2 tires. First as Bob suggested Bridgestone Potenza RE92 which has very good reviews from users. I can get this tire for $82 + $12 shipping from Tirerack.com or Federal SS657 tire which some people seem to love and others have had problems, can get this tire for $43 + $7 shipping. I am leaning toward the Bridgestone tires, I know its more money but I think sometimes you get what you pay for and my safety is important to me. Any suggestions?
