• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I listen to the wind rushing by me as well.

With my luck, I'd install the speakers and some :cus: would steal them while Spydie sits in the parking lot at work!!! What can I say? It's not a good neighborhood.....emphasis on "hood"..... I've already had my Jeep broken into once..... Grrrrrrrr!!!!

Just three? You're tough!

Peter, Paul & Mary - all
Pete Seeger - all
Lovin' Spoonful or Ian & Sylvia...can't make up my mind

Hey Scotty:

If you include Ian Tyson's recordings after he broke up with Sylvia, you would have a terrific list of songs to choose from. He did some of his best work on Cowboyography, And Stood There Amazed and Eighteen Inches of Rain. If you haven't heard those albums you need to give them a listen.

I'm no cowboy. His later stuff doesn't do much for me. Even I&S's later stuff toward the end of their duo is not as good as the pure folk of the early years. Still, two great voices there, delightful harmonies, and Ian plays the guitar very well.

Since we're on the topic of music...
When I plugged in my Ipod for a trip to Town, I noticed that I didn't seem to have control over any of the radio functions other than volume. I thought that I'd be able to advance to the next song in the queue with this system...
Am I missing something?

Press the right button to advance top the next song. The left will go back to the previous song, but not if you are set up to play in random order. Then it will restart the song currently playing. I think holding the right or left buttons down for a few seconds will change to the next playlist, but I never do that, so I'm not sure.

Pressing Mode displays the IPod configuration. Press and hold the right side button to display and advacne through the playlists. Press once to advance to next song or press once on the left side to go back.

I think that I did have it on the "Random" setting... :opps:
Thanks! I'll try it tomorrow again while we take Tink out for her first spin... It should be interesting...

I have 7300 songs on my ipod, so it could go just about anywhere. Currently I mostly listen to Austin artists like Ryan Bingham and Lucinda Williams and to new female soul singers like Grace Potter and Sharon Jones. If I had to pick just three it would be Metallica,Annie Lenox and number 3 would change often. Today it would likely be Lucinda Williams. Tomorrow it might be Flogging Molly or Rusted Root or a dozen others. I doubt #1 and #2 would change at all.

When listening with the ipod hook up, I listen to AC/DC,
Creedance Clearwater, Eagles , ELO, Moody Blues, Nirvana,
Pink Floyd, Supertramp,Ten Years After, and female artists
Adele, Alanis morissette, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Pink, Sheryl
Crow, and for News on XM channel 112(CNBC), 116(HLN) & 1
17 (MSNBC) & 126 (Fox) and Howard 100,
along with the Laugh track 160,

When I am in a rock or country mood I have channel 25, 26 , 59 & 60

I usually ride with just the sound on in my helmet around town, but on
the freeway I put the external speakers on too. easier to hear. Hardly ever
listen to FM, but AM for Lakers basketball or Dodgers baseball.

I am gonna try out some others that people here have suggested, so thanks!
Life is good
