• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you guys think?

Hi, I have an idea for a small mod for the Spyder. I had these on my ZX10 and they really made the bike stand out.....tell what you think....would you buy them for your Spyder?

These are Chrome Billet Faring Screws. They replace the windshield and body fairing screws to give the bike a much better look. Sadly, most manufactures only make 6x1 sizes and the Spyders fairing screws are much larger. Hopfully, with enough support, Magic Man can make these for us :)

I am personally not a fan of anything that can stab or snag you in an accident. Count me out.

Well, I am one of the younger riders(28) on this fourm so if that makes me a hooligan to the grey bushes here....then I guess I am:joke:

I just figured it would bring out the Spyder in a more "BADA*S" way instead of the "I like to go crosscountry" touring kind of way....

As far as being in an accident...I can understand your point but I would be more worried about broken bones or losing my life than a little scratch from a pointy screw

Hey Ghost, if it makes you happy, by all means put on the mod. That is what we all do. As I am one of those "grey bushes" (a good box keeps that under control) and I prefer "the 'I like to go crosscountry' touring kind", I guess they would not be for me. But if daddydarko sees those, he may be all over them. They would match his helmet.

If you get in an accident, maybe something weird/cool will happen and Stan Lee will get jealous...Maybe the the resulting fire will fuse the Spyder computers and spikes to your body and after you scream out an obligatory "NOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!!!!!!"...you will decide to fight crime for some reason. Oh sure, at first you will hate your new powers and the general population will demand the military hunt you down and kill you, so you go into hiding until an unforeseen foe threatens some or all of the planet. It's not until an abitrary transient ex-BRP executive that you share a cardboard box with in the local sewer is aware of some ancient Canadian prophecy...a prophecy of a great and threatening foe and the mech-spyderman that defeats him. You get a new paint job and several new weapons from No Magic Neon, then fulfill your destiny. After the great ensuing battle in which you narrowly defeat your foe. You soon sign a movie deal, but only as an "advisor to the set", while a more beautiful mech-spyderman plays your part and all production in China is stopped to fill all the orders for happy meal toys. Oh and...the military still kills you because they had to test a new super weapon built just to destroy you, which insures no chance of a sequel.

DAM all that just because of some spikes. imo if you like them then put them on, it does not matter what anybody else thinks it's what you like. that is what i call a pretty mod now if the mod had something to do with performance then i would ask for an opinion. like on cowboys bike i'am surprised he doesn't have real steer horns on it.

I wish it were that simple:( Everyone I've talked to only makes them in the 6x1" size, which is to small for the Spyder. I'm not sure what the size of the screws are but its much bigger. I've asked NMN if they can make them but he says he would have to make alot of them(5000) in order to keep the price down and still turn a profit........so with enough support and people willing to buy them, he can manufacture them.

5000 is a lot. Is there any way you could find some type of pointy cap to put on the existing screw heads? Just trying to help as I am pretty sure you won't find enough support from all the Spyder owners put together to warrant making 5000 of the pointy screws.

this is quite the post over some pointy screws. Dude, I say, if you like em and can find em..........put them on.

Just my opinion: pointy screws would be the least of your problems in an accident:dontknow:
