• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do you do with your helmet???

I think playing the odds on: 1) someone having a handcuff key and 2) seeing your spyder parked and 3) wanting to steal your helmet. ARE REALLY LOW (like Damn near non-existent). People are only going to steal a helmet if it's sitting on the bike unattached. Nobody is going to cut the strap. So based on your thought process someone could be carrying a set of huge bolt cutters and they could just hack your cable OR someone could just cut your chin strap even though it's not securing the helmet (just to be a smart aleck) they could just dig out their tools and unbolt your handlebars OR they could be driving around the area with a rollback tow truck and see your sweet helmet and steal the whole spyder....... :banghead:

The only reason I said anything about cutting teh strap is because I have seen it done. friend had their helmet attached by the strap got back to the bike helmet is there but hte strap was cut. some ahole just being a smart a--. There fore I will never hang my helmet by the strap I hve seen it happen. But you can p[lay teh odds its your money not mine. have a nice day. :D

I don't often have to hang my helmet. I just put it in the frunk, but for when the frunk is full I added a bolt inside the frunk that I hook the helmet on and just close the frunk. The strap could be cut but the way it lays it would not be easy so I feel it is quite secure and it's a very easy mod to do.

Leave the helmet on the seat with the following sticker message.

"Helmet contains head lice. Go ahead and steal it.."

Gun Locks?

I don't know what experience you guys are having but I have several gun "locks" 2 Ruger, 1 Rossi, 1 Bersa and the same key will open all of them. :yikes: Coincidence?

Ride safe,

It doesn't matter; how many folks on the street do you think will be carrying a handgun lock key in their pocket? :dontknow:
Precious few...

A smart criminal would realize the owner of the helmet probably has a gun and it's not locked up:roflblack:
