• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you get for Christmas

Being retired, everyday is Christmas for me. If I want something, I buy it. By the time Christmas rolls around, I already got pretty much everything I wanted.

We were also low and slow this year. Some nice toiletries, jammies, and t-shirts.

The F3 don't count, it arrived on the 16th. :roflblack:

Spent close to a grand on kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Got 3 bargain bin Marvel Comics DVDs, a t-shirt that don't fit. and a $15 gift certificate to Dairy Queen. I am just hoping that karma is real!

But we did do this instead of turkey or ham............

A nice leather coat. I got and installed for my wife a " Rev-a shelf" Works great in the cabinet over the over the fridge.

12/240V mini fridge and mini compressor to store in the 622 trailer for the long trips, a hammock, couple of bottles of Red Wine, book rest, some classic car T-Shirts of a model I used to own, a calendar of my grandkids, some identical T-shirts to a couple that have holes as big as a beer can is round - the deal being I am supposed to throw the old holed ones out :( Hang gliding voucher (perhaps I'm to be cut free if I pass the deadline to throw the old T-Shirts out). An awesome day with my kids/grandkids.

The wife and I don't want for anything that we don't already have, so we just give each other small things like candy and incidentals. We do the family gift orgy Christmas eve. We told all, no gifts for us please. But we did get some home crafted things from the grandkids and great grandkids. The grandkids are in their mid 30s.
The most meaningful gift is one I gave. There's a fellow in our neighborhood who is down and out on both luck and money. During the growing season, the wife has him help in her sizable garden. He's a hard worker, nice guy and I never heard him utter a cuss word. But there's no work for him now, so he's broke. We made up a care package and gave that to him along with some money so he can eat. I don't know who felt better.

We are at the age I may not be around for Christmas so we get things throughout the year. My wife gets stocking stuffers for the kids and the one grand child. We get togther and that is all I ask.
But, this year, I was out on Black Friday. My wife didn't know she was buying me Christmas. Picked up a Ruger Precision Rimfire in 22LR; added optics and a bipod for a killer price. My cousin asked if I needed bail money for shop lifting. Also, finally picked up a 24 gun safe at Tractor Supply for $300. Pretty sure I won't be the deals I got anytime soon.

Wife and I usually reserve the gift giving for the grand kids, but we did spend on each other this year. She got a new Kindle Tablet to keep up with the cyber world and I got a new Shoei GT Air helmet.

We just had new flooring installed in the house, so we decided that it would be our gift to each other. I still picked up the wife a bracelet, and she got me some workout pants for the gym. All was good.

Cynthia gave me a cordless drill and the kids gave me some gift cards a wallet and some 007 cologne. It was a nice Christmas. Most of my kids were there and most of the grandkids and one of the greats. It was also announced that two more great grandkids are on the way. All in all a great family Christmas. Cynthia and I read a chapter of Luke every day as our Advent calendar this year and that helped use to keep our focus on Jesus.

Gave myself Lamonster Packrack. Install a bit tricky because I also have Smooth Spyder backrest, but got it done! Great rack!
