• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Device for Music?

Old Man Grizz

Hi Folks,
i used an IPod 5 for storing music to listen to "Snoopy", our'14 RTS.
Well, I broke it😢
Just wondering what's a good replacement?
Thanks Folks,

iPhone

I use my iPhone 6s connected via Bluetooth to the Sena in my helmet. If you had the music on your iPod in the iCloud you just connect the new phone to the same iTunes account and be off and running. I don't use the system in the motorcycle because nobody else wants to hear my music, just as much as I don't want to hear theirs!:yes:

I have an 2016 RT-S with the USB cable in the trunk and BT dongle in the frunk. I use an iPod 5gen and run it through the Spyder. That way I can see what's playing and change playlists vs. doing Bluetooth direct to the helmet. Got the iPod on ebay cheap.

I use an older iPod nano. They still make them, and I'd buy another if this one were to die. I like the idea that there's nothing to hook up up set up once it's in place, and (at least on the 2014's) the Apple models are the only players that can be managed through the handlebars.

iPod 4

I have an iPod 4 but it's not compatible so you can't change songs from the handlebars.
i also use the dongle and Sena 20 headsets so nobody hears anything but my singing!
LUCKY PEOPLE!
I think I'll just get another Ipod5....
Thanks everyone!

:D I've got some kind of an IPod...
It's about the size of a Saltine cracker, and had an 8Gb capacity...
It holds well over 800 of the loudest, meanest, and most unfit songs ever performed! nojoke

I don't know why it hasn't committed suicide yet...

What broke? Usually they can be repaired. I have fixed a few of them.

Ditto and you can listen to pod casts such as Ted Talks. Good stuff.

Wow...!!

Guess I'm antiquated but much happier using an old fashion MP3 player. Sandisk the size of a book of matches with hundreds of songs...

The good news about the cloud is it can hold all of my 15000 + songs. Only problem is that in really remote areas I have to listen my self sing!:roflblack:

Stick wit what ya know...

I bought an old used Iphone5 a couple years ago and use it for just music....When it ever does die I will just get another old used IPhone 5.....

Garmin GPS

I use the Garmin GPS on my 2016 RT-S or a cheap mp3 player from e-bay connected to the micro USB in the trunk. Rock ON!
