• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What can I replace the analog temperature and fuel gauges with?

As has been noted in other messages, you can unplug the analog temperature and fuel gauges, to activate the digital display of this information. I'm looking for suggestions as to what other gauges I can use in place of the two non-functioning temperature and fuel gauges. What have any of you done?

Warp speed indicator and
An altimeter? :dontknow:
The choice is yours, and it's a great big World in which you're shopping!

Autometer voltmeter and oil pressure. Bought them from Summit Racing for about $60 each and they match up well.

Most have done oil pressure and volt meter. There are lots of other possibilities though.

I like the idea of an altimeter because I frequently go from sea level to over 6000 ft on my rides. It all depends where I go. I live at 750 ft--about 1/2 mile from Cook Inlet--Knik Arm. My handy dandy watch with the altimeter works--but is a PIA to get information on a ride. Un-needed information--but cool to know just for the heck of it. :roflblack:

expensive, but I like the accuracy, and the ease to read at a glance also ordered a rubber boot for the backing to assist in water resistance. Keep in mind the oil pressure gauge needs a special fitting that I had to order separately, something about metric vs.standard:dontknow:

some more good choices, even one from Custom Dynamics"click:http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...ges-for-oil-presure-and-voltmeter-what-to-get

You can also replace the gauges with 12v and/or USB 5v weatherproof power sockets.

Steve,
I like that cupholder! :2thumbs:
Question: Can you go full "lock-to-lock" with the bars when it's in a deployed positon? :dontknow:
(I park with my bars cut full-right; but have to do some left-to-right wiggling, to get it in the garage...)

Yes, you can. I added a Ram mount all of the drink holders, so I can use any of the three drink holders (Butler, Ram drink holder, or Drink2go holder) on the front or the passenger area. The Butler and the Ram are already pictured. IMG-20110803-00173.jpgrear cup.jpg
