• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Brighter head lights have you used? 2022 RT-L

2022 RT-L.

So after being out well after dark out in the boondocks I have come to the conclusion that I need brighter head lights.
I have already installed the driving light that sits down low on the spyder that replaces the faux grill.

2022 RT-L

So my question is have any of you good people upgraded your stock head lights for brighter ones and which ones did you use.

I think your only option would be to add additional lights. Perhaps some "auxiliary driving lights." The RT-L already has LEDs, so they're probably not easily replaceable.

Several of the forum vendors have a few different options.

Good luck

Well the oem driving lights are useless compared to after-market ..... the headlights can easily be swapped out for a set of " Fahren " LED's. I have them on various veh's ( including my RT ) and they are very bright. ( 16,000 lumns ) they have brighter models also ..... JMHO .... Mike

SpyderPops LED bump skid added a fair amount light, not as far reaching as the headlights by any means, but still beneficial; as well as upgrading the OEM H4 halogens to suitable LED's with whiter light. Came from EBay at the time.

Vendors on the Home page are probably better, at least you'll get better customer service if you have questions.

I'm not sure it's possible to swap out the high & low beam bulbs on the 2020 or newer models. I looked at the service manual, it shows how to check & adjust them but doesn't describe how to replace the bulbs or mention a number. The parts catalog shows that each side cost about $630.00 USD; I'm guessing they're sealed units. YIKES!! If anybody knows differently, I'm interested!

I'm thinking the best bet is an external mount, but I haven't found anything that works better "down range" w/o looking like a fender mount on an old John Deere tractor.

People need to keep in mind that the OP has a 2022 model. These Spyders are nothing like the 2019 and below models.

What you suggest just will not work.

Exactly! The 2020+ headlights on the RT are miles ahead of what is on the previous models. On high beam, they really light things up (in my opinion). As stated earlier, I think they are LED and the only option is to add additional lights. But if you run them on bright, unless meeting another vehicle, you will be impressed.

Just a suggestion, maybe check you headlight adjustment. We all know that somethings get overlooked when they assemble these machines.....Bill

it's a shame we have so many grammar Nazis.

this is the only forum were people get they panties in a bunch over my grammar.

They will light it up. Pretty easy install on the 2020+ models. Not sure why they listed the 2019 in the mix since they won't fit without additional brackets.

Finally got mine hooked up to where I can turn them on/off with the hi beam switch.

It's also nice that they turn with the front wheels.

And Slice, I agree the more light the better, especially on two lane back roads.

@SLICE Hope you didn’t misinterpret my post, it was not aimed at you but at the person that seems obsessed with unnecessarily correcting minor grammar, spelling and punctuation errors. I’ve been involved with a number of forums over the years and never had anyone go behind posters and correct such trivial things, I find it irksome. It is so minor in some issues it’s like rubbing it in the face of the poster that made the comment.
