• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are these...?

While doing the first oil change on my SE5, I came across these two 'contraptions' and could not figure out what they were or their function.

Anybody wants to guess...?

According to the shop manual, that long tube contains the oil pressure regulator for the hydraulic control module oil pump. It contains a relief spring and piston that regulates the HCM oil pressure at 174 PSI to allow automatic gear shifting. I'm not sure what the thing that you are pointing to with your left hand is, but I do know that there is a self-bleeding regulator valve, located at the highest point of the shifting system, which is used to bleed away trapped air in the system back into the crankcase. Perhaps that's it. Hope this helps.
