We have been well educated on the Spyder upgrades which can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, but let's just pretend you have $100 cash burning a hole in your pocket. :sour:

The cramp buster or plam cruise
Driving and fog lights
The outrigger brake lights
Ram air induction
And on but I do my own work and make some of the parts so there not out of the box farkels or mods...you can do a lot for under $100.00 that way...

I've heard of these. How do the heated grips work after you get them on?

Chupaca & SDM
Cramp Buster sounds like a must have & I wonder if they will fit over the Grip Puppies?

I am a fan of your videos, keep them coming. I am glad you posted.

I expected more :roflblack:

Thanks for the ideas so far. I am making a priority list for these 5 twenty dollar bills in my pocket.

I had grip puppies (The Original grip buddies) on my Spyder before I went to the ISO grips. No issue what so ever with the heated grips. It does take a little longer to feel the heat but other than that they do not reduce the amount of heat you get. On high that would be too high for me! The ISO grips take even longer but you do get heat through those as well.

The problem I had with the grip buddies, puppies, etc... is they do wear out pretty quickly. I had worn mine out in about 6 months of riding almost every day to work and back.

May Favorite Two...

The two most useful inexpensive accessories for my RT are JT's dash accessory mounting kit, and the Spyer Pockets from TricLED

Here is another thing I added.

The OEM BRP rear trunk lid pouch with mirror about $65.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Can-Am-Spyd...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d5333154e&vxp=mtr

Now let me just say about this Farkle

1) The mirror is cheap plastic! It scratches up right away when stuff is in the pouch and slides around. Additionally because it is flexible the image you see in the mirror is distorted like a old "fun house" mirror. Totally useless!!! My wife hated it! I put a regular glass mirror over top of the useless one.

2) The top portion of this pouch has netting for a secondary storage area. Unfortunately this is only good for large flat things like paper work or something like that. If you put small stuff in there it works its way out and is laying on the mirror. When you unzip the pouch everything falls out into the trunk! So because of this design I have a love hate relationship with this farkle!

3) When you screw it in get some flat washers much larger than the heads of the screws. Reason is over time the screw will dig through the cheap material and wont hold it on anymore.

4) Stock it attaches to the trunk lid with only the 4 corner screws. Use the 2 middle screws as well. If you do not the thing bows in the middle over time leaving a gap and stuff falls out through the gap into the trunk.

I will say after replacing the mirror, the wife loves it at least for that purpose.

For $65 I would expect more. I find it hard to believe no one has reverse engineered this into a DIY project and created something a bit more useful and resistant to wear. Hmm.. there I go again adding to my growing list of :ani29: related things to work on.

I actually have that on my list of DIY stuff I want to do. You are correct, I cannot believe some 3rd party has not made a better unit by now for 1/2 the price of the BRP junk!

I was having trouble thinking of anything I've bought for my Spyder and spent less than $100.

Now I'm making a shopping list for SpyderFest!

Thanks for the ideas.
