There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What about the extended warranty?

The way I read the July "VIP" offer:

2008 models = $2000 in accessories and 2 yrs of BEST.
2009 models = $1500 accessories and 2 yrs of BEST.
2010 models = $500 accessories and 1 yr of BEST.

The offer, accoriding to the email I got, shows the promotion is from June 30 ~ July 31. Wouldn't you know, we signed the papers on our 2010 RS on June 23rd! Missed it by a week... :(

I guess I am not a VIP. One dealer I asked about this offer did not reply. I was also asking for an OTD price on a 2009 New.

I do not know where you find good dealers, but the ones I have tried to get info from ignore me, so they won't be gettinag any of my hard earned money anytime soon.

I bought my RT A/C on July 23rd and the dealer never mentioned anything about a VIP promotion. Anyone have info on this so I confront them?

My dealer wasn't aware of the offer at the time, either. Maybe just print this out and ask your dealer to look into it. The most they can say is "no". May only apply since I had done some on-line inquiriing about the bike before purchasing. (I deleated my email and offer number out of this)

My recommendation? Purchase one.

I recommend the extended warranty. I have used mine and it probably paid for itself the first time I used it which was last week.

I made a request for a quote on both BRP and dealership websites and recieved email responses on July 6th and 9th.
I never recieved the VIP email offer nor did the dealer offer it to me when I made my RT A/C purchase on July 21st. What the Heck?

I just sent an email to BRP and the dealership asking them about the offer I didnt recieve. So now its just wait, I guess.

I purchased my RTS in June, my dealer never said anything about extended warranty or the aforementioned offer. I did an on line quote request as well. So is this the fault of BRP or the dealer or...

they had to put a code into the system for the promo to be applied. your email had the code in it. see the scan above it says YOUR VIP OFFER CODE: near the bottom of the first page. there is a code you got with the email that tied to you.

i got the email by either signing up for emails on the BRP website or I think from the BRP factory demo ride that the dealer had earlier in the year. the current promo had nothing for the new RTs.

this gave me $500 list price in accessories and 1 year BEST warranty. I bought the remainder additional years BEST PLUS Warranty added onto the free one year at the time of purchase...

because the dealer had to kick in for part of the promo amount I am sure they would not just offer it (what they call free riders)... to those who knew nothing about it. plus not sure how they would generate the promo code they needed to enter without you getting the email. not that it doesn't hurt to ask...

This is great information; the stealer I purchased from was not only shady (see other posts) but did not offer any extended warranty options and I refuse to speak with them to honor my $500.00 demo ride certificate (they would only laugh at me again anyhow). Now I know to talk to Bert's and offer them my business on the extended warranty. I will definitely be speaking with them today. :ohyea: Thanks for the great info!

Extended Warranty

Followed up the suggestions on the forum and contacted Bryce Page at Berts Megamall on BEST warranty. She quickly researched my question and then called me with the information I requested. She is great. I highly recommend you deal with her, very knowledgeable and helpful. Will purchase my warranty from her today. Thanks MMcc:2thumbs:

I was seriously contemplating going with the BEST Plus Plan, however, I just heard back from a local dealer who said that, in his opinion, it's not the best option. He heard back from BRP and was told that what is included in the the Plus Protection is the first service plus three additional services; however, the services are not totally covered. In other words, the additional services are only partially paid for and the owner has to cover any additional monies. Is this the same story everyone else has heard regarding the Plus Protection? If so, I believe I will simply add the additional warranty. Thanks again for all the info.

1 yrs.- $579 - After 60 days (see below) $654 :yikes:
2 yrs.- $689 - After 60 days (see below) $839 :yikes:
3 yrs.- $749 - After 60 days (see below) $974 :yikes:

My second year warranty is up Oct 7th then I have one year of BEST with the $50 Ddeductible.
So if I buy above before 7 Oct it Extends the BEST ($50 Deductible) warranty by 1, 2, or 3 years??

1-Are the above Prices a LOT lower than my dealer would offer???:dontknow:
2-Does purchasing above UPDATE the main BRP warranty data-base???:dontknow:

We have had some of the additional services under the BEST PLus plan and everything was totally covered. We have not had to put any out of pocket money yet for any warranty work or the additional services we chose to use under the Best Plus plan. I am very glad we chose to purchase this plan, it has saved us considerably.

That is good to hear and thanks for the reply; I hope many others chime in with the same experiences to assist myself and others in our decision. I was quoted $1549.00 by a local dealer today for the 3 year Plus; and $749.00 for the standard 3 year.

Has anyone had any experience using the roadside assistance?

I beleive it was a 30 day offer... for the month of July.

Thank you

A special thanks goes out to Millers1 for providing the information about the July VIP offer. I sent BRP and my dealer the information,
along with my documentation of quotes and test drives that were completed in July. To my amazment, I received a telephone call today
from my dealer stating BRP agreed that I did meet the requirements of the offer and was gladly honoring such offer with me.

I am extremely thankful for BRP's and my dealership's quick, professional, and friendly response to my questions and concerns.
THANK YOU!

Dealer: Chaparral Motorsports, California

I am new to this forum and bike, I just aquired in on Saturday, The dealer said I have 30 days and offered it for 800. for 3 years, other bikes I have had you could wait til the first warrany was about to expire then buy one, as long as it was not expired yet. any help would be appreciated.

:congrats: and welcome

On this note:
I have sold a BEST warranty from here in California to a customer in Florida. The BEST warranty is still valid in Florida, and any BRP dealer still honors the warranty work however, they are unable to sell it.
Please let me know if you are still interested and I would love to help you out. Thank you!:D

How much would it cost me here in Orlando, FL now for the three year program?

Stevedfive: glad it worked out for you. I brought the offer to my dealer's (Ridersville Cycles in WV) attention and BRP took care of us on the July offer. Their shop also took good care of us with the steering recall.

As for the extended service, I shopped around. Bryce at Berts deal was significantly better than any others I could find. She took care of everything over the phone and the paperwork was done via the US Mail. I normally turn my own wrenches but this bike is a different beast. I've got a good dealer and 5 yrs of warrantee. No worries.

Another bonus is the BEST is transferrable so that's that might be a good perk for a potential buyer if you decide to sell the Spyder within the 5 yr period.

If I lived in FL and Berts couldn't sell me the BEST plan, I'd save my money for repairs rather than even think of spending a dime on a third party "warrantee".
