• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

we're going to be a 2 F3 family!

My husband has a hard time prying open his wallet. When JayMac was selling his spyder, he thought it over just a bit too long before deciding that deal wouldn't come along again in the near future, and we missed out. Since then he's been regretting it which is unusual for him to regret making a large purchase.
Anyway... I had my 9300 mile service scheduled for yesterday along with getting a new back tire (broke 10000 miles on the way there)

and I had called them Friday to see if I could do a demo ride on any spyder while they were working on mine instead of sitting aound there for 3 hours, and they said that they had an F3 that they needed some miles on, so they would be thrilled if I took it out. That got me wondering about how much of a discount they put on the demo spyders. I asked my husband if he'd buy a demo spyder if we could get it for the same price that we estimated we'd have paid for the spyder from Florida (taxes etc.). Shockingly he said yes, and asked if he should bring cash for a deposit just in case so of course I said yes.

Our dealership (RPM Motorsports in Lakewood, CO) has been great to us since I bought the first Spyder in 2012, and they've got one of the best technicians in the country, so I will keep going there for purchases and service. I've also heard a lot of people grumble about them because they don't negotiate like most car dealerships -- the price is the price and that's what you pay. However, in this case for this demo bike and because we've been loyal customers... all the stars in the sky aligned and they offered us a smoking deal that we couldn't pass up. On Tuesday (the GM had already made plans to ride the bike today) we'll have a second Spyder -- and because you won't believe it without pictures, here's Don's new toy:

We'll need a new picture of your family... :D

Congrats!

We are a 2 F3 family too! I just picked up my white F3 yesterday. Lenny got his black F3 for his birthday last month!

contagious

Yep, after I had my RS and then ST, then the F3 came out - Jeff said it was more like a 'real bike' (he hates all the tupperware, possibly because he's the one helping me take it off and put it back on every time) - so much to my surprise he said "yes" to the F3 and placed his order before they even arrived in Oz. So now we join the list of 2 spyder families too. Here's a pic from our first Spring ride for this year -

great for you. Your right about Lakewood they dont deal and they are Twice the service costs but I am glad your happy. My friend has a ST and he has had nothing but problems for service at this dealership. He picks it up from having a maintenance issue completed, gets down the street and the throttle body does not respond. Got this fixed got down the street and the mirror falls off. They argued with him over replacing the airflow panels under warrenty (ST 2013) and then when they did that they told him it was a 5 hour job. Had another friend sitting on the bench in the services area having her Spyder serviced and the two maintenance techs were talking to each other about how much they hated working on Spyders. I purchased my first spyder at this dealership. When it came time to buy the BEST Extended warrenty they gave me a quote of 1100.00 for 3 years. I said why are you double the price of all my other quotes? Thats what this dealer did to me ( a loyal customer). I learned long ago, never think a dealership is doing you any favors. Be informed or dealerships will steal you blind. Sorry about my rant but I and my friends have had very bad experiences here.

I dont do business with them anymore.

By the way Fremont Motorsports is selling thier 2015 F3S SE for 18,999. How much did you pay at RPM? I hope you shopped around.

So, I guess . . . .

. . . . now there will be a little tug-of-war over accessories.

Congratulations to both of you.

Don drove me to the airport last week with the truck and trailer so he could pick up his new Spyder. All week while I was gone, he was teasing me with pictures like this. He's put just under 1000 miles on his new ride while I was gone and the grin on his face has just gotten bigger.
