• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went and got hitched today!!!

 You're ready now!!!

Man, I wish my hitch would come in! Of course I can't pick up the new camping trailer until the snow leaves town, but I have some other work to do, too, and I need the trailer hitch harness installed for that. I ordered the $100 trailer tongue harness today, so I can use it to make an adapter to a standard trailer connector. The RT-S harness has a trailer control module (powered converter) that is integral with the connector, with an odd 9-pin, twist-lock connector. I need the RT-622 tongue harness for the opposite connector. I could not find a compatible standard connector.

I also ordered the Travel Cover. The Outdoor Cover that comes with the RT-S is nice, but it takes up a lot of precious cargo space. Next comes the RAM mount, auxiliary fusebox, and power outlets...if it ever warms up enough to move the snowblower out of the way for good.

Are you going to put the mudflap on it?

My dealer had this one in stock. I forgot to rivet the mudflap on at the dealer, so I can do it at home. The whole rear fender and most of the left side inner fenders have to come off to get the plug wired in. Trailer is on the way, maybe next week. Hope you get yours soon.

4 of the toughest rivets I have ever seen. Broke the hand rivet gun so I broke out the air powered one. Mudflap is now on..LOL

Just a heads up for some. You may want to shave an inch off the mudflap BEFORE you install it. Mine has hit the speedbumps and a few driveways since install. Its easier to trim it when you can hold it in your hands instead of laying on the ground behind the Spyder.

WOOHOO, its trailer day today. I get to pick it up around 2pm. Let the mods begin. It comes with a spare tire too. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Too late. I installed mine this past Tuesday evening & just now saw your advise... :dontknow:

Is the mudflap a RT-S option that I can buy at the dealer or is it aftermarket? If it's aftermarket who do I get it from?

Another question, how much does the trailer hitch cost? I wouldn't need the harness - not going to pull a trailer, but I might like to have a small storage box to fit on the hitch.

Thanks
Dwight

The mudflap comes with the hitch. The hitch kit, which has the harness, lists for 499.99. There is actually one on ebay right now..LOL

After a long day at the dealer, she is all back home, along with the trailer.
Changed the look of the pipe a little too.

Trailer came with the spare tire too.:ohyea::ohyea:

:roflblack: In the pic it looks like the trailer is eating the spare tire. :roflblack:

:congrats:
It was hungry from the long truck ride to the dealer..LOL:D
All in all, the trailer doesnt look bad. The carpet inside needs better velcro to hold it in place and I am looking into mounting the spare on the front rail, or making a cover for it inside the trailer. The protective 3M vinyl had a small bubble in one spot, so they are ordering me a new piece for the right side.I have 2 stick-on led lights that I will mount inside the covers to provide light when needed. And if you have the manual shift Spyder, you dont get the cool trailer menu on the display when hooked up to the trailer. Only the SE versions get that.:(

GloRyders fit with a little adjusting

Tried to mount some GloRyders on the trailer. Would'nt you know, BRP decided to make the hole larger so they didnt fit.
I thought a cover for an inside spare would be a good way to go. Keeps stuff from disappearing into the spare...until you have a flat. Cabela's sells one in several sizes for $9-$13. I'm sure an RV store would have something, too, or the local tent and awning dealer could make one up. I like putting the tire inside a cargo trailer, instead of on the tongue. It allows you to move it around to make adjustments in the tongue weight to compensate for a cooler and such.
