• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, Well, Well

Never received anything for the first two 09 GS's we had... but I don't think many people did.

For my first 2013 I got the welcome packet in about 10 days. We've only had the second 2013 for about 2 weeks and haven't received the second one.

It's the dealers responsibility to put in your correct name and address for these and other mailings. It doesn't happen automatically with the rest of the paperwork. I would guess most dealers don't even know about this.

It's the same address the surveys go to, which the dealers are judged harshly on. I've heard that some dealers don't put the address in so that you won't get surveys and they won't get any bad scores that way. I'm sure it's true, just not sure how prevalent it is. :trike:

I would like to claim the record. I got my first Spyder (#610) in October of 2007. Still no welcome kit. Where's the love?

???? Welcome Packet ???

Bought my Spyder November 2012. Never heard/received of a Welcome Packet.
I did receive the replacement Gas Cap by BRP. Would of been nice to get one !

Guess you have to buy your :spyder: from a dealer going out of business. Got my :spyder: May 8th and had my packet the next month. Now my 5000 mile pin that's a different thing. Hope I get before 25,000 miles lol

Well Well Welll

At least you got something, most bike purchases give you.........Well.....Nothing!

Dave ;)

and you should get a roll of this a few days later

OK .. bad joke but I couldn't resist

Some of our members needs it. I don't mine to have one for free.

I got a welcome packet when I purchased my 08 and when I bought the 09 I got a "deluxe" welcome packet--which included a beautiful photo album and a special pin that said 2009/ Ambassadors/ Spyder--in three lines. Don't know what that was all about--but I still wear the pin on my vest.

I bet you can't wait to see what happens when you send in for your 5000 mile pin.
I used the process explained in the WELCOMING PACKAGE to apply for my 5000 mile pin. NEVER GOT IT!

Then I read posts on here how some people applied by using the CONTACT US method through the BRP website. I emailed BRP using the same instructions given to apply by snail mail. NEVER GOT IT!!

Started the process in April 2013. So yes, I have waited the necessary time (EVERYONE SAYS THEY ONLY DO THESE THINGS QUARTERLY).

What kills me is the number of people who NEVER get the WELCOMING PACKAGE and/or the 5000 MILE PIN.

I got mine a couple weeks ago about 2 months after purchase. Most of it went directly into the blue box.

It seems to me it came shortly after completing the JDPower survey. Probably coincidence.
