• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well...its official...

Thanks for all the congrats!!!

I have been been researching and saving for about a year. I knew what I could afford to pay and knew I DID NOT want the 2013. Knowing that it was obvious i would have to be patient and wait a year for the prices to drop. The Cognac is not my color preference (Pearl White) but all who know me will go crazy since most of my clothing is orange. I am a high school choral director (30 years and still going strong) and my school colors and insignia are modeled after UT (Tennessee)...and my wife is from Knoxville...so it all works out in the long run. The funny thing about this all...the only color my wife has seen and set on is the Cognac!

The tough thing about this is waiting for the right price from uShip to come in...then knowing I won't be able to ride immeditely...not because of the weather but because I have to take my wife to the University of Virginia Medical Center where she will be undergoing brain surgery...so I don't know when the riding will commence...but I know it will at some time!

Looking forward to it...

Just bought a 14 RT Limited Oct.2014. Love it. Hope the wife comes through OK. You have all of our prayers.

Congrats

Not a bad second choice color, and congrats on waiting to make that deal!

I hope your wifes surgery goes well! Please keep us informed as you are family now.

Well...I received a response from my local dealer...this is a direct copy from his response...this is why I absolutely HATE this dealership. if I am of the wrong opinion please tell me...

The good news is 23k is a great price, the bad news is your not going
to have a local dealer that is willing to bend over backwards to make
you warm and fuzzy no matter what!

I get the feeling that they wanted to bend you over for that warm fuzzy. You made the right choice!

Congrats on the new machine. Sorry to hear it is not the first color choice. All the best with your family.

FWIW, honestly, I doubt the dealer would or will treat you any different whether you bought there or not.

If anything, they should welcome you as a service customer and parts customer.

Are you willing to share what dealer sent that to you and for curiosity, what dealer did you purchase from? Both are optional of course.

Paul,

I would not mind at all!

I purchased the Cognac from Motorcyle Mall in Belleville, NJ. They were quite nice. They gave me their price...I told them what I was willing to pay...they said OK - SOLD!!!

The dealership that basically told me to go screw myself is CASEY CYCLE CITY in Newport News, VA.

No doubt there will be praise and complaints about both dealers. Information is most times good and shares your real world experience.

No dealer is perfect, and I without hesitation tell about our poor experience and even the good part about dealing with RideNow Powersports in Ocala.

Once in hand, I hope a lot of happy miles for you and your wife.

She is now home

She arrived about 8:15 this morning...the driver took very good care of her!

She is currently sitting in her new home on her side of the garage. Title is to arrive tomorrow...snow and ice is on the ground so there won't be much riding opportunities for a few days. I did take her for a quick spin down to the end of my road and back...it was very different...my brain was telling me to balance the bike...weird...but with patience and practice I should be good to go.
