• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I'm almost done

I'm almost done with my Farkles. All I have left is my hitch, wiring harness when it comes in, and the belt vibration damper. It sure is all lit up now.

However, "I am almost done with my Farkles." :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Nice job! We have the same bike, even down to the smooth spyder backrest. Only thing, I don't have all the nice pretty lights that you just installed:opps:. That's Ok, I will get around to it. My hitch came in last week, and I hope to install it this weekend. I will also be reinstalling some custom driver floorboards that I made. They worked nice, but I just wanted to do a little modifications to them.

Looking good. :bowdown::bowdown:

Almost done? I don't think so. Looks like you have passed from Stage 1 to Stage 2 Farkelitis. Good Luck with that one. :yes::yes:

Well I do plan to get the shocks replaced, but that is not a Farkle. That is a requirement since I mostly ryde 2-up.

Where did the moniker 'Blue Star' come from? Why not a blue Spyder? It's okay to tell me it's none of my business.

No problem, as the reason has two parts.

First part is when I got my first Spyder I learned about the PGR. Parents of active duty service members are called Blue Star Parents, and parents of service members killed in duty are Gold Star Parents. My daughter had just joined the Army (now honorably discharged), so I took that name. I explained to her about it, and always told her to never make me a Gold Star Parent.

Second part was my first Spyder was a blue and black RS. Here is a picture of my RS, and me and my daughter getting ready to head up to Eureka when she came home on leave.

I have thought about changing it, but too many people will not know who I am then.

Very touching story. Thanks for sharing.
