• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

May not be leaking. Just extra that was left on panels after the fix. I would get some engine degreaser to spray on the take to car wash & wash off to get a better idea of if it is leaking/where

oil

when i first installed the highway pegs i did the left side first, i also took off the bottom pan for more air. when i dripped the pan i found oil on it. now i just had the 600 mile service done so i figured it might of been from that, but when i dropped the right pan i also found oil on that, so now that the bike is in for the heat recall i have them checking for a oil leak also

I also had an oil leak and it was coming from the water pump seal. Dealer replaced it and have not had any leaks so far.

ive washed it two times

ive washed it to times since the hill country ride... so i dont think it is residue but the shop will answer the question soon
:yikes:

got my bike back

will they claimed that it was residual oil left by the tech (not cleaned). they washed it out and gave it back. i hope that is the end of this story:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

When I had my "heat fix" they replaced the master cylinder and I think it was the cannister. I had some oil leakage. Took it back and they said it was residual from the replacement work. They cleaned her up, gave it back to me (15 minutes) and I haven't had a problem since. (500 miles ago).

When I had my bike torn down to wrap the exhaust pipes I found a oil leak at #10 in this picture. The bolt was loose and all covered with oil. Took about 1/4 turn or more to get it tight. While I had the bike down I checked every fitting I could find and located one more loose fitting at the bottom of the oil tank.
