There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

weather you like him or not, this is a shame

We just lost a good friend to the same thing he's been diagnosed with. Our friend was given 3 weeks to live unless he had surgery. The surgery extended his life 8 months, and the last 3 were horrible to watch. All the best to his family. This will be hard for all of them

Watching him when he was running for president was painful to watch and I suspected something was going on way back then. Although I would not wish a terminal disease on anyone (with certain exceptions) it has been time for a change for quite a while in AZ. I can't think of who might replace him and it will be a shame to lose all that seniority.

what a shame, they just said that JOHN McCain NOW HAS BRAIN CANCER

Former President Jimmy Carter also had brain cancer, and he got on the same drug that was fast tracked for approval from FDA as my brother for his stage four melanoma cancer, which has so far for the last 2 years been a success. My brother is 55 and has been dealing with this since age 48 when he had to retire as a commander from the Austin Police Department.

He has had full recovery. Senator McCain is much older, and hopefully they caught it in the very early stage.

good thing he has government paid health insurance that should cover all
I wish him a speedy and complete recovery. But I do wish more of the politicians (including McCain) would realize how important health insurance is for everyone, and have to deal with the same crap that the average guy (or girl) has to when it comes to health care. I was just notified about a fellow friend that was diagnosed and the pills are running $20k for the first batch. Guess who will be paying for hers, but guess who will be paying for McCain's?
Sure hope he sees things in a different light when he is better.
God Bless.

I wish we could keep politics out of this thread! :lecturef_smilie: This is a human story and that's the extent of it.

I pray for Sen. McCain that this awful disease can be overcome.

Actually, it is a human story - about a sick human who will requires thousands of dollars of medical care to extend his life for maybe a year, and about a unique human who has the power to change how healthcare is provided to Americans. You can't separate those two facts.

I wish McCain all the best. It will not be a pleasant future for him. Hopefully, the medical staff will at least relieve his pain. It is a terminal condition.

Regards,
Joe T.

Kind of hard to keep politics out of this one. It is horrible to have anyone go through any sort of cancer, but this case just might open some eyes in politics. We can only hope that watching a comarade go through this crummy disease helps some politicians see what "the average Joe" goes through day in and day out.

But they won't learn anything at all from this horrible episode: the insurance coverage that they get, is Worlds apart, from what we have to suffer with. nojoke

Hi Bob,

Re: But they won't learn anything at all from this horrible episode

I agree.

Re: what we have to suffer with

If there were a single-payer system in effect then the congress critters would be in the same medical boat as everyone. Think that they might improve it then?

I really wish that they would... nojoke
The only thing worse than being sick: trying to deal with your healthcare insurer to try and get some procedure or medication covered. :gaah:

i am very lucky, with my union i retired from i have a 500.00 deductible. medicare is primary, and my union picks up the rest

:clap::congrats:
My health insurance is a bit more interesting... :banghead:
I think that if I get pregnant :yikes:: they'll pay for it... but they get to keep the movie rights! :gaah:
