:coffee: Welcome to Friday's weather news from Indiana, currently overcast and 30°F. A 10% chance of getting some snow late tonight. 30% chance of getting some rain.

High today of only 37° with clouds, low of 21°F.

Snow Report: NONE

Stay Healthy and enjoy the Day. ......

We are currently getting our 2nd cold snap, they have forecast windchill advisory's ( -30 to -40 below zero) and advise people not go outside and to keep the pets inside. Then on Monday they are forecasting a snow storm. They are saying 8 to 12 inches of snow.

(off topic - my sled is getting very restless, and most of the snowmobile trails are closed due to lack of snow!)

We're almost halfway through the first month of 2022. The desert S.W. has been very pleasant so far this year. Have been seeing the winter weather at or coming to a large part of the country. My thoughts are with you all. Stay warm and safe..... Jim

Weekend Weather News

:chat: ...Welcome to the WEEKEND, currently 23°F. The weather people are saying some rain is scheduled for a small part of Indiana. The snow is a very lite dusting on the ground and the morning sun is actually melting it now.

The winter storm has come and gone for Indiana.
Hopefully everyone will make plans to be Safe during this weekend. I hope the areas that want some snow get what you need.

Saturday 27°F/16°F with some sun.
Sunday 32°F/23°F with sunshine.

Stay Safe and Warm everyone. ......

Final tally. Over a foot of snow on the hot tub cover. Internet and phone service (via satellite), were disrupted. All working again this AM now that the snow and ice has moved SE. Supposed to be 42 later this PM, then more of the same all this upcoming week. Hopefully, the remnants of the snow will have melted away by Wednesday or so.

Starting tonight and into Monday and part of Tuesday they are forecasting a Winter Storm. They are saying snow totals any where from 3 to 12 inches of snow.

The Winter Storm is coming from the West ( in New York). They are also saying we will be getting snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain in the storm.

Then on Tuesday they are forecasting an other cold snap.

We got honorable mention on Accu Weather this AM.

Valley Springs (us) received 14 inches yesterday. They were right on. The melt is already on. Have not seen this much snow at one time since leaving Alaska 2.5 years ago. And did not miss it one bit.

Just got back from a snowmobile trip. In a long weekend we saw 28 below, 34 above, snow and enough wind to blow our empty trailer 20'. It was interesting. You have to love NH weather.

Nice 60 degree day yesterday. The fourteen inches of snow melted off except for some very small patches in shady areas.

Here in Vt. today it is cloudy, temp is 34 degrees, and wind is blowing.

The rest of this month the temps are going to be cold. No January thaw!

:coffee: I love warm weather and really don't care for any cold weather. I have noticed that as I have gotten older, weather temperatures below 40°F, are just not my thing.
I enjoy watching the snow falling. Going out to do the snow removal is no fun.

Today's high only 23°F with clouds. Low of 9°F. Currently clear skies and 14°F. The wind chill makes it feel like 1°F.

Snow Report: None

Trying to stay indoors and relax. .......

It was 72 today in the desert S.W. A group of us rode a little over 200 miles in perfect riding weather. As usual, a good meal was involved too. There were no clouds and very little wind. I really enjoy this time of year. As a side note, one of the riders today is a retired Arizona motorcycle policeman. During lunch he was asked how he kept cool during our scorching summers while riding all day. Here's his answer;

In the heat of summer, breaks were taken about every 1/2 hour. He was always completely geared-up including vest. He would seek out Circle K stores (convenience gas station/stores) approach the front counter and tell them he needed to cool off. Then he would go in the beer cooler with all his gear and stay there until everything cooled down.

He said the Circle Ks were always accommodating even when he was not in uniform. I found this interesting. Maybe some will find it useful too when things eventually turn hot. Stay safe..... Jim

75 today in FL. Put about 125 miles on the Spyder. I got to FL about 10 days ago. AT&T just got here today to fix internet, some things are slow here but the weather can be nice and the riding is great.
