We got our Hurricane in Alaska yesterday

The power finally came back on at 5:30 this morning. Three days and ten hours without power. I made it through all right without any property damage--except for the downed trees and the damage to my car from the tree falling on it.

I will have to pay for tree removal since none hit my home. The insurance co. said they would pay up to $500 to remove any trees off my home--but did not need their help.

The car is covered 100% under comprehensive.

Glad y'all are OK...hurricanes can be bad...all the rain and wind and then those nasty tornados that pop up....be safe

Our office in Anchorage was only out for about 8 or 10 hours, the people there were not happy about that. I only have an acre of timber around the house, but it gets a little scary when the the wind really starts blowing and the big oaks start dancing around. Glad to hear it is just property damage.
