• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Waze on BRP Connect/Go

I went and voted in support of the Waze addition. To be honest I would really like to see Google Maps but that is probably never going to happen. Good luck Waze!

I have no trouble using Waze, but on my phone, and not involving the BRP system at all. But having it in the BRP setup might be a good idea.

I voted as well. Looks like the request started 3 years ago and they have 17 votes so far. Probably won't push this to the top of their priority list with so little interest. Would be neat to see though.

I thought the same thing as well. If it were Honda or BMW there would be thousands of votes.

If BRP-C actually worked perhaps more people would be interested. I wasted enough of my life on a p.o.s. app that was/is not supported by BRP.

I found it with only 3 votes. Whoever started it didn’t pass the word or share it. Hopefully this will get more votes. The new BRP Go works great, it would be nice to have Waze.

Waze is owned by Google. So I see no reason why either couldn't be added to BRP-GO, but to be honest I think that software is horrible. A better option (IMHO) would be to get CanAm to work it out with Google and Apple to add Android Auto and CarPlay.

To have Apple Car Play would require a larger screen. Having watched videos of how to set up and use it on a Honda Goldwing would require just as much if not more complicated configuration to get it working. It requires a BT headset to be connected for ACP to open. The built in GPS requires yearly map updates and they’re not free. For any smartphone integration system, the set up is pretty much the same so if you can’t figure BRP system, it won’t be any easier for any other others.
