• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

warranty Q?

Are headlight bulbs covered under 2 yr brp warranty? I can change it, however if Can - Am will, I won't. Thanks Peeps.

I had a headlight HI beam go out at 8 months. I contacted BRP support and they said that light bulbs were not covered normally but since it was less than a year, they would cover it. But I replaced it my self. The bulb, (in my F3) is a standard bulb that are used in cars and can be picked up at a auto parts dealer. Cost less than $20 to replace. I did it myself. Not worth taking my Spyder to the dealer for days to get a bulb replaced

thanks

Thanks for your comments. I will do it. If it was covered, I would take it to my dealer so the Tech would get the labor time. Not hard to do except for the loss of left thumb on the CCW twist. Lol. Electrical tape on the thumb, to prevent loss of appendades! Thanks Ya'll....:2thumbs:

Have to agree...

Normal wear and tear items are not covered except in special cercumstances. Some dealers will cover them on their part but you can always try. At worst they will say no....Now here's a chance to upgrade to a better light bulb and they are not that expensive....

I will upgrade the bulbs. Yes I said bulbs my peeps! I am a tour ryder, and if a light of any type fails, into Wally World for a new bulb and extra cash at checkout. See ya, Bill...

:agree::agree::agree: ...... and from what's been said here LaMonster's LED's are the Brightest at the best price ........and not JMHO ...... Mike

teeth pulled

DeerSlsyer, are you on an ST? I'd rather have teeth pulled without Novocain than change those bulbs.
Ann that's the #2 reason I recommended getting LED's ...... one & done ......plus they are much less strain on the weak charging system .........jmho......... Mike

Nah, I will stick with the bulbs. Like I said I am a tour ryder. I would rather have the H7 that be found any place. Not so with hotsy totsy LED's. Life long mechanic, I have replaced worse things.
