• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Warranty help... Two stories..

Talked to the dealer who says that the current offer of 4 years will become 7 year coverage after I buy the five year extended best warranty. It will start at the end of year 2 and run concurrently with the next two years maxing out at 7. I called BRP because that sounded off to me. They said that the extra two years is the extended b.e.s.t warranty being given to me after the factory two year runs out and that I can buy a one year on top of that to extend it to a max of five years. Who is right? Can I not get 7 years?:banghead:

Since it's BRP who is offering the extended warranty, I would go with what BRP tells you. The Spyder comes with a 2yr factory warranty. You can then purchase an additional 3-4 year extended warranty (non-factory). It sounds like the dealer is trying to sell you something that BRP is giving to you for free. :dontknow:

Do believe that BRP is the final arbitrator of this matter:yikes:nojoke

Thanks I agree. The issue was that they have a 199 a month deal for seven years and if I'm paying that long I want to be covered that long.... Oh well.

5 is the max... period...Looks like somebody's doing something creative to make some extra commission money.

This is what I was told as well. My dealer called BRP to verify because I wanted a lovely 7 years as well. We are permitted to buy 1 additional year of the extended warranty.

You can NOT get 7 years BEST warranty... no way.

What you're getting right now is: 2 year factory + 2 years BEST for FREE. You can only buy ONE more year for a maximum of 5.

I looked into this too.
