Want to paint mirror parts

I’m trying to figure out how to pop off the one top part of the mirrors so I can paint them. I have an All Dark ‘18 and want to match the mirrors and windshield parts shiny black like the lower nose below the frunk.

Any ideas on how the mirrors pop apart? Thanks

This top part of the mirrors is what I want to paint.

There are small tabs. Use a soft pry(popsicle stick) and work around the gap. Go slow, pry gently. Joe

I have plastic panel tools (Harbor Fright) and pope them off. I used the panel tools to pry under where I could and it popped off without breaking. (Whew!)

Very glad to hear you were successful ….. I tried on one of mine and couldn't get it back together as solidly as it was with new :gaah:..... Mike
