• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WANT right side grill

frank3

RT-S PE#0180
Have followed several threads concerning the missing grill on the right side of the RT. I don't regularly ride in the desert and don't really see any problems, heat wise, with the addition of a grill over the radiator exhaust opening. I'd of thought by now that some third party would of designed and started mgf. of such. Has any one heard anything about this?:dontknow: I'd venture I'm not the only one who'd love to have one.

I have made one from a piece of aluminum flashing. It docent match the left side but it looks like the billet style with the holes. It docent touch the bike other than the Velcro that is on the inside of the body panel that comes off. I am refining it but have came to the point to where I'm confident, from long rides temps of 85-95 degrees the temp of bike hasn't changed from when it wasn't on. In traffic it seems to do great. Remember it can be adjusted by drilling more holes or bigger holes depending on where you ride or live. If you want to see it on the bike I can email the pic and even the building process or measurements. It docent cut all heat but it will cut up to 95% of it. I can ride miles with my legs right up next to it. I would love to show it to you. It took me making like six before I got it right for my location and tolerance. If you are interested in know how let me know I hope it helps cause that heat SUCKS big time. :firstplace:
