• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

VSS Signal-Lamps in the Display ??

since 17.000 RT-mls i could not find an answer if there is a signal lamp in the Display which shows me that my VSS is acting .. (there are a lot of lamps there)
so my question - should I see something if the VSS works ?
(here is this old clip I made)

You will definitely see an amber signal lamp display should the nanny be activated during a ride (the light is at around 4 o'clock or so on your display). It comes on for a very short period and is somewhat difficult to see unless you are looking directly at your display. You may want to test it out in soft sand, under controlled conditions, if you are interested in seeing the light flash when the nanny kicks in under acceleration.

When the Nanny kicks in, you should see that tad-pole looking light to the right

But if you're doing something that wakes Nanny up; you should be looking at the road in front of you trying to save the bike!! :yikes:
Don't look down! :D

That is very interesting, Chris...
I've never given much thought as to whether or not the VSS might signal during an application of braking power... Maybe it does so that a vehicle behind you is aware that you'll be slowing down?? :dontknow:

I thought its a simple question ..

I don't think that's the screen for the VSS.
I think that screen is used when there is a fault in a module level component.

Roger, I do believe you are correct about the LIMP HOME MODE screen, but I was just trying to show an example of the 'ICON' (tadpole) that one would see displayed on the dash when the VSS (nanny) is actually in operation to give Chris an example to go by:thumbup: which is what he asked for:thumbup: It was the simplist way I could think of to go about it, without actually invoking the nanny, as then (as Bob stated) I wouldn't really be able to get a picture of it :lecturef_smilie::roflblack::roflblack:

my problem is the following clip - made by a friend- look at the brake lights :opps::opps: .. was that me or the nanny ???
(thats why I made the second clip - to have an idea what my disply shows )
I really should know what I do - 30.000 spydermiles

my friend asked me why I`m always on my brakes in the curves (like a newbe ).. as you see on the brake-lights -
I was not shure if I`m braking or my nanny - so I took the camera and rode behind him - always the camera a little on my cockpit but couldn`t find out (not fast enough ?) .. maybe someone else can find out ??
