Vredestein tire sizes from their web site

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
Someone asked me (actually, a few some ones - lately) so I'm going to list the Vredestein Tires that will fit the 14 & 15 inch wheels.

In 14 inch for the front: three that I know will fit are 155/65R14; 165/60R14; 165/65R14 - these two I'm pretty sure will work also 175/65R14 & 185/55R14 - depending on the type of fenders you have.

For 15 inch fronts: 145/65R15; 155/60R15; 165/60R15; 165/65R15; & 175/55-15.

For the rear 205/65R15; 205/60R15; 215/65R15.

This info is from VREDESTEIN TIRE CO. If they are made by Vredestein, they can be found somewhere. These tires are the "Quatrac 5" model. I think Vredestein makes one of if not the best Spyder tire today. Other tires may have similar performance characteristics, but I won't comment on them. Happy & safe motoring. Mike :ohyea:

Got 4 of the Vredestein Quatrac 5 tires on my Subaru. Really like them! I wonder how well one would work on the rear of my RTL??

We are loving the Vredestein's all around. Don't know if having a matched set makes a difference, but the handling is awesome! Greatly improved ride from the Crapender's. Tom :spyder:

Tom, gladthat I and Vredestein tires are making you happy  In reality, if the tires are on the SAME axle, that's fine. For a Spyder, the rear can be different, that's not an issue.

What size Vredestein Quatrac 5 are you using on the front and rear. I have a 2012 RTS and stock front are 165/65 R14 and the rear stock size is 225/50 R15.
Any other size info response is very welcome.
Jim

I also put the Vredestein Quatrac 5 on all 3 of my F3T wheels and I like them a lot.
I do wish the rear were wider, mostly for aesthetics.
Also, Vredestein makes a sportrac version which is rated better in the rain!
They are hard to get in the states...

I think I went with the 205 on the rear. My fronts are 15". Tom :spyder:

2018 F3 LTD. Switching to Vredestein. What size works best? Is the same for front and rear? Thanks...

Down on your swing arm you'll see a tag the gives you the size they suggest! Of course, your make of tire is up to you!!

It is not the same. The rear tire is larger than the fronts.

For fronts, in the Vredestein brand, you can go with the 175/55R15 or the 165/60R15

For the rear, you'll want the 205/60R15 tire. Stock being a 225/50R15

The General Altimax RT45 in the 215/60R15 is also an excellent rear tire for the Spyder. It's closer to the OEM tire size than what Vredestein offers.

The only decent Car Tire replacement in the OEM size of 225/50R15 is the Kumo. But it's only decent. It's not a great tire. There is also the Kenda Kanine which gets rave reviews from some and less than thrilled from others.

Wow, just looked at tire rack and they don't have 175/50R15 just the 165/60/15. Which front size is closer to oem without rubbing?

Sorry about that. A typo for which I am guilty of not proof reading before posting. I thank you for catching this before it went too far. I meant to type 175/55R15. Those you can find.

We've had clearance issues installing the 175's on some 2020+ models. BRP has reduced inside fender clearance on those compared to earlier models. For the 2020+ we recommend sticking with the 165/60R15 since you won't know if you've got issues until the wheel assembly is installed. For pre 2020 models, the 175/55R15 should not be a problem. Both work very well so it's more a personal choice with the earlier models.

The 165's will give a slightly better ride. The 175's will give slightly better handling for more aggressive riders.

So I have a 2015 F3. Looking for new tires and trying to find Vredestein Quatrac. I just want to make sure on sizes. Front I will want 175/55/15 and the rear I will want 205/60/15. Is that correct sizing for those tires. Also, if I cannot find the Vredestein here in Newfoundland Canada, what do you think of the Kenda KR20 Kanine?
