• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Voucher new lower panel

I NEVER received the voucher for the lower panel and understand that the cut off date is May 31, 2013. Have had the oil changed twice twice since buying the bike and the dealer will not do the upgrade without the voucher.
How do I contact brp?
Coming up on another oil change in another 1k.

My dealer said voucher really not needed and did the upgrade without it. All that is needed is for the dealer to invoice the upgrade prior to May 31

BRP contact numbers are in the owners manual. Call them and let them know who is telling you what and why. Also let them know how many oil changes you have had without it being replaced. tol

IMO: The dealer should replace the oil change panel with or without a voucher. They should be able to complete the necessary paperwork to get whatever credit they are supposed to get.

Bottom Line: every :spyder2: was supposed to receive the panel. There are bound to be more who have slipped through the cracks as far as vouchers go.

I decided I didn't want to mess with a dealer doing the oil change, etc.... so I just ordered the panel kit myself and paid for it..... $36.

panel upgrade?

Boy am I chiming in late on this one... what voucher for what panel upgrade? I have a 2012 RTS SE5, may not apply to me?

Who needs it?

I just pulled the plastic splash guard off and tossed it. The Spyder runs cooler and You have full access to do your oil change. I got the idea from previous threads on Spyderlovers of course.

I'm going to tell you what someone else told me on another thread... That would have bought you a few tanks of gas!

After the "issue" died down and dealers had pleanty of panels in stock, I took the voucher to my (now ex) dealer, told him I only wanted the panel kit no oil change, and we swapped out.

He also said that only invoiced BRP on it, they never asked for vouchers.

Well, my time is worth more than $36. I would have had to ride an hour each way to my dealer... Plus the gas to get there and back. I also don't think my dealer would just give me one. Glad yours hooked you up.

If you still have the old ones, go and find a dealer that can swap you out... then sell yours!:roflblack:

Firefly, do you have the part number for the panel kit? I never received a voucher from BRP and can't get BRP to send me one. Like you I perform my own oil changes. Purchasing the kit looks to be my only simple solution.

The replacement long panel is a piece of crap. They removed/redesigned the mounting. THERE IS NO MOUNTING tabs.
It relies on the other panels to pressure fit. well if your upper panel groove tab is missing, your SOL.
YOU DONT NEED THIS lower REPLACEMENT LONG PANEL.
The ONLY benefit i found was the new plastic grill that is a direct replacement.

Date is now Jul 31, 2013

Called brp today. The date is now July 31, 2013.
Was also told that the dealer will only have to call brp and they will authorize the upgrade.
Will find out shortly.:dontknow::bowdown:
