• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

They heard that All-Wheel Drive had already become old news, so they took it up a notch!

I thought you were going to hit us with the announcement that VW was bringing back the Campmobile this summer.

They are going to call it the Californian or such. They are going to offer two versions.

No mention of price--but I am guessing big $$.

I had two of the micro bus versions, one a 1962 and a 1974. Believe it or not, I liked the 1962 better. Even with its smaller engine that struggled to do more than 55 mph.

I think that Roger's 1957 Beetle can manage to hit 62 mph. :D

Those micro busses were even worse than driving an RT down the road. :roflblack::roflblack:

I could make 60 mph going down hills, but sometimes had to shift down to third to climb them. A few times, I am going 35-40 doing the "I think I can, I think I can" chant.

I really had a great time with that 1962--bought used from my insurance man. It was great, and I wish I still had it.

My 74 (purchased new) had plenty of power--but it was a piece of junk. Had it in the shop a lot. My favorite was when the shifter column came off its floor mount, in my hand. :yikes:
