• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Visiblity

NO!!! Yellow paint!! Either that and/or a Hi-Vis Da Glow jacket!:2thumbs:

No, seriously. The high intensity light are a very good way to increase visibility. Lights are probably the most likely modification I will make.

Besides adding HID/LED lights Are there any suggestions on making a Silver Spyder more visible to other drivers?

From which angle? (front, side or back)
At what time of the day? (day or night)

I myself is thinking about adding NMN's plasma rod on the sides of the Spyder for night time visibility. But I rarely ride at night and I haven't found a cool spot to place the rod yet. I wanna it to look built-in not add-on.

All good questions that need to be answered to give you a better answer:chat:

NMN Home run package is a good way to go too.

My riding jacket has reflective piping which can really be seen at night. I also have reflective tape on my Helmet.

I see a silver:spyder2: and i want to paint it BLACK,BLACK,BLACK, i want to paint it BLACK. Any colour is great on the :spyder2: just enjoy it. I have all the light mods that No Magic Neon offers and it certainly makes the :spyder2: visable day time or night time.

Since I started riding in 1966 I have never installed anything on any bike to make me more visible. Of course, anything to make one more visible is money well spent. But I believe that if one buys things to make them more visible, there is a good possibility that over confidence will take over rider caution and that is not good. Relying on anything other than yourself for safety is treading on dangerous ground. I always ride with our Spyder light on bright in the daytime and dim them at night for oncoming cars, but I don't rely on the headlight for my safety. It makes me more visable, but not safer.

Dud,

I think that the more lights you have, the better. I'm not worried about over-confidence of the biker, I'm worried about someone in a cage not seeeing (or wanting to see) the biker. The brighter something is, the easier it will be seen...take the color of fire trucks, for example.

I have the triple play and the NMN taillight...I'll likely add the double play and mud flaps soon...none of this will affect how I ride, but hopefully it will make those around me realize I'm there and will keep them honest...

I am not saying, or at least was not trying to imply that anything to aid visibility was not necessary. I am more concerned for those who may be riding for the first time thinking that lights, loud horns, loud mufflers, red or yellow Spyders, etc., will be safer for them (and it should), but in doing so, let down on their own caution. Visibility is EVERYTHING, but it is not just the aformentioned...it is the rider staying as visible as possible at all times. A rider in a blind spot will not been seen, no matter what.
