• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Virginia State Inspection sticker....Where to put it on a 2015 RT?

I live in the "Commonwealth of Virginia"...and we are required to have a yearly safety inspection and sticker that is view-able from the left side on my 2015 RT Spyder.

My Dealer had this sticker on the front left shock.....but I'm going to add Elka's soon......I found a good spot....an unused bolt below the passenger's left foot peg.

I went to Home Deport and got (1)-M8-1.25 x 35mm bolt and (1) M8-1.25 Flange nut.

I removed the T30 bolt and nylon nut 13mm.

I got the plate from my local bike dealer for $10 the proper size for Virginia's sticker.

Used the new 35mm bolt, then plate, then flange nut, paper washer (so not the mark up the visible side of the mount spot) then thru the bike's hole and reused the 13mm nylon nut.

It's OK and it meets the State's requirement.....my cost $12.50 and about 1/2 hour time.

I hope this helps someone else!

Happy Spydering!!!

Hey Genradman, Thanks for the tip and photo's. The KTM dealer near Winchester put mine on the black plastic front suspension cover before I could tell him to use the lower left clear wing.
It started lifting after the first rain. I then wrapped it with clear packing tape. I'll see how long that lasts.

BTW I was at Sal's Bistro yesterday. It's a regular stop for me.

In Pa if you use a separate bolt on plate it also has to be riveted so it can't be removed and placed on another vehicle.I have my sticker under the passenger floorboard on the flat part of the chrome, easy off and on.Some dealers place them on the front left shock.

Genradman, Yup, that was me. I hope you admired the spider and web on the hood as well as the pin stripe job. That was fresh from Americade last week. I stopped in Lake George coming home from homecoming. Ten days on the road with eight in the rain.

Be glad to hook up. There are two other RT's within two blocks of me. (Geezerville at Lake Frederick) We are all retired so always ready to crank turns on Zepp Rd. or 675.

Heading for WV for a couple of days and will send a PM on Thursday.
