After reading Spyderlovers "Ride Master" thread http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...rome-Handlebars-and-Glare&p=558198#post558198
on the very same subject, and upon searching video footage
that had been taken with my helmet drift HD camera to see
if my comment was correct.

It was interesting to discover that even in very bright sun light
that the windshield from the RT created more havoc than what is
remember from the ride. Also should be noted that
the cameras angle is not looking directly through the windshield,
and thus not a reliable representation of the glare presented to
the rider. However difficult to see through, much is reduced with
sun glasses on and even the helmet visor shade down. I asked
DooLittle, and she says she is fine with or without "doggles" since
she is laying sideways on my lap.
My Garmin GPS is bright enough as you can see in the Drift Ride
Video even without an optional sun shield that many riders use.
I prefer to hold my hand or tilt my head if the view is obscured with light.
The Spyder comes with a digital and analog speedometer gauge, where
usually one will always be able to decipher the speed. And when not, the
Garmin 660 GPS if you have a location set will tell you your speed and also
the posted speed as well. The analog water temperature and fuel gauges
were transferred to the digital cluster and replaced with digital gauges for
voltage read out and oil pressure info. The red flickering in the video, is
not evident and is easily readable while riding.
There has rarely been an issue with the cluster as it changes with
the outside light and it can be controlled in setting as to the brightness on
the display.
Would have to agree with others that the turn signal indicator on the dash can
be difficult to ascertain if it is flickering, I use my optionally added LED
mud flaps to do the quick double check. There are other methods, which
hopefully vendors will be at Spyderfest showing what they got

Final thoughts, Stock or chrome handlebars are prefered over steering wheels

was gonna add more but gotta go work and ride my spyder, back later
